  7. Had my Dad fly in from Orlando over the weekend. My son and I took him out for a SMB trip to Melvern Lake KS. We caught over 100 fish in 1.5 days all on the ned rig. 1/8oz ned head zman PB&J 2 inch senko w/super glue, used 25+ of them! Here are a few pics of the larger ones.

  9. Fished Melvern Friday afternoon 2 to 6 and Saturday 8 to 1 and 2 to 630 with my Dad in town from Florida and my 9 year old Jake. 1/8 oz ned head with 2 inch PB&J Zman, super glued is all we ever needed. Started with 30 neds came home with four. We caught over 100 fish, the biggest being almost 3, lots of 1 to 2 lbs both days, when fishing with a kid catching is a good thing regardless how big or small. The cove to the right of the dam proved once again to hate me, I lost a 19 - 21 inch fish at the boat again weather was great and we sent my Dad back to Florida with a SMB thumb!
  10. My Dad and Son decided it would be fun to let go of the dock they blamed each other for the boat floating away, I had to yell instruction to my dad to start the motor and bring it back to the dock, almost pulled a Tins and ran into the dock but I stuck my foot out to keep my trolling motor off the pole! Tied it up and walked back up the hill! I was not happy but then again I should have tied it up to begin with!
  11. Why not just buy a newer boat for $20,000 and not a 15 year old Ranger??
