In Florida we have to fizz Red Snapper and Grouper from time to time, only because the season is closed and we cant keep em you have to carry it on board just like life jackets if offshore fishing.

Grouper, they back up into the structure and use their gills to hold them in place. I have waited 15 minutes trying to get one to come out. Pluck the line or in my case slack the line and hope that circle hook is still in place.

Ned Rig with a Zman senko type in PB&J or Jerkbait has been the ticket out this way.

I use the Z Man pre-cut Ned Rig and even trim it down to 2 inches while small mouth fishing.

Yes sir! Lake Lacygne is awesome to fish the warm water outlet in the middle of winter. I have launched my boat when the temp was low 20's. As long as the wind is not over 10mph I am game! My boat has never been winterized hammer spoon is my weapon of choice during the winter.

Yep the fall feed bag is on! Shad so thick I had to pull several off of my lipless crank bait hooks. Watching the Hybrids explode on the surface is a blast!! Kept a few for the deep fryer! Caught in the back of a creek in 2-4 feet of water 1/2oz lipless BPS shad colored.

We have power plant lakes that dont freeze at the warm water outlets and the colder it gets the more fish stack up! I have been out in 20 degree weather and catching 50 fish, you better have the cold weather gear or you are SOL out this way
