  1. we catch them in #'s in Kansas! I use a small lipless shad colored crankbait and a white or green inline spinner, med light 6'6 rod with 6lb line makes for some fun action if you get a 2+ pounder on! We do eat them and like above cut out the blood line and eat the shoulder meat, some soak in Sprite, I soak in milk prior to deep frying them! One of the best fish IMO to take a kid to catch!!

  3. Camo is my choice for bank stalking! try down sizing you plastics to match the fry.
  4. rocky shore lines come to mind first, cranks, jerkbaits, ned rigs, find the shad and the rocks and have fun
  5. Out in Kansas I start looking for the shad to be pushed up into the creeks and look for the bait fish and just match the hatch with a lipless or squarebill.
  6. What he left out is we took the motor off the transom and moved it over 10 inches to make it easier to work on, that was the easy part getting it to line back up was the fun part! Glad to help ya out!! It was a long drive over to Docs place :)1.8 miles...

  10. Surprised no one said Cedar Creek!!!! I have done well from the bank on the South side near the dam and under the bridge. Also you can walk the dam at Clinton Lake

  12. Just leave the filet knife at home. I travel all the time with rods, reels and lures. The filet knife was a donation to a nice TSA agent in Philly once Only good part it was my brothers!!! as for rod holders PVC as think as you need and duct tape, yei I am hi-tech!

  16. Sizzle and I had a yearly pass for my boat and we did very well on Wipers and Trout but LMB/SMB I think the biggest may have been 3#

  19. you can always look for current breaks and or swings and through out cut bait for catfish, something will eat live or cut bait!
