  11. Well until today I thought I knew how to catch 25 lbs but after today I'm reconsidering. My best advice is to get you a couple arigs rig them with skinny dippers the 4.5 inch models find a creek ledge intersecting the river ledge and cast and count it down till you catchem . Everyone is casting at the bridges so I'd like look in different locations for the same opportunity unless you like big crowds
  12. What tourny you fishing? Don't go to muddy creek unless something changes a bunch caught 12 there all day Thursday nothing over two pounds all my better fish have came from the midlake area on crigs and traps if you like fishing with the crowd get you an a-rig and head to south sauty bridge

    I personally only use that round out to 250 yards any farther and I carry my 270 weatherby magnum or my 30-378 its all personal preferences but if you can pull it off more power to you

    sure do me and three other guys that work for us its great whitetail round I'm experimenting with a 100. Grain a-max with reloader 22 but I've got to check it at altitude before I'd recommend it

    I use hornady 87 grain v- max hand loaded with 43.5 grains of IMR 4350 its a good load not quite a compressed load but almost it fills the case almost to the neck

  18. Yes it is I also put coverage on my contents most companies will only put half the value of the boat on the contents for example 20000$ boat 10000$ contents

Two week ago on guntersville we had sustained winds of 35 mph and that one old boy put 32 lbs in the boat I had to use two drift socks and motor on high just to stay in one spot didn't catch but 24 lbs so if you can stand it and you have the equipment go if not be a fare weather fisher the biggest thing is if your not havi ng fun stay at home no sense in not having an enjoyable outing

I have braid on my spinning rod with a five foot flourcarbon leader just for my shaky head some guys are using a short leader on there trap rods I haven't had a knot fail with the leader set up but I'm using 4 lb leader so I retie often it improved my catch rate for what that worth maybe I helped some
  21. That's my luck to I caught two over nine on two separate practice days and nothing over 6 on tourney day one week last year

  23. Im about 2&1/2 hours away but I've got tourneys on lake guntersville for the next four weeks so I wouldn't be able to meet up but maybe next time
  24. I'd give it a try there to if I found them stacked up not very many people fish that technique on this lake
  25. It's do able good spots about 41/2 to 5 pounds
