Has Anyone Installed A Kill Switch For Trolling Motor?
Seems to me that it might be better to make the ground wire hard mounted and the positive on an alligator clip. Reason I say this is if you pull the ground wire, if it comes in to contact with anything it can ground to , a battery tray, a screw head, etc. etc. the trolling motor is coming back on. If you pull the positive connection, the only way the trolling motor is coming back on is if it come back in contact with the positive battery post. I really like the idea of a relay and switch.

7.5:1 Gearing
7.5:1 vs 5.1:1 ?

7.5:1 Gearing
All of the current model Lews 7.1:1 reels move 31 inches of line per turn. If you divide the IPT by gear ratio, the result is how much line the spool moves on one rotation. 31 / 7.1 = 4.366. If you take 4.366 and multiply it by the new gear ratio it will give you the new IPT if the spool is the same size. 4.366 X 7.5 = 32.7. Probably will be advertised as a 33 IPT reel.

Reel Tech Question
I think it probably does, they are just sitting in the groove around the post, try prying the clip back lightly so you don't scratch everything up and you will see them.

Reel Tech Question
The first trick it to place the reel your working on inside a 1 gallon zip lock bag while you are removing them, this way when one goes flying off it cannot travel far, they are hard to find on the floor or carpet. To get them loose use a very small flat blade screwdriver. Place the corer of the fip in one of the slots at the rear of the e-clip and lightly pry against the post that the clip is secured to. Once it start to move it will go fast so be careful.

Measuring Voltage At Fish Finder Head
If you have a volt meter select DC voltage. Connect the black lead to a solid ground. Only one of the pins will be carrying voltage, just touch them one at a time with the red lead until you find one with around 12 volts on it. If none of them appear to have voltage you may have a wiring issue.

What Is The Best Multi-Use Rod Out Of These Actions?
- Who Do You Think Will Win The 2015 Classic And Why?
Aaron Martens has been fishing very consistently for the last two years. If it comes down to a finesse fishing showdown I will take him 11 times out of 10.- Carbonlite For Topwater?
I prefer a MH rod with a fast action, one with a little softer tip. I don't want to have to work through all the rod flex to impart action on the bait. Buzzbaits are a single hook bait, that need a rod with the ability to drive a single hook through the roof of the mouth or a gill plate at a good distance, I am a fan of moderate and moderate fast action rods but not for this particular situation. My .02- Frog Rod Opinions
Without getting into specific brands, it is going to be very hard to answer your question, as most mfg's rods vary greatly in power and action.- Multi-Stop Anti-Reverse And Zero Anti-Reverse?
Many Shimano reels (super stopper) use this setup as does the 3rd Gen Revo Winch.- What Shimano Reel??
I guess I am the other guy, I owned the Core 100mg, it was not that great of a reel in my mind. The internal quality of the reel was good, but not anything special for a 350 dollar reel. The Core 100 was what I would consider heavy for a magnesium reel even the aluminum gears did not save much weight in this reel, the handle was short had no bearings and could not be upgraded to use bearings. The spool tension cap did not click, which is small but something that I would like to have on a reel of its price. While the reviews I read said it had a good amount of drag, in the field I did not see it, the dartanium drag seemed old and outdated and was replaced with carbontex. The reel was an excellent caster, both in distance and smoothness, and the VBS braking worked well. I think at one time the Core100mg was a great reel, among the top in it's class, but like most things others caught up and surpassed it in terms of what you get for your money. If I was looking for a new Shimano I would be looking at the newer stuff, I think they have made some nice improvements and you get a lot more for the money.- Kvd Classic?
Doubtful, I think four of the top five in the AOY race are Strike King guys.- Tatula Clicking Sound
Seems like a bearing would be felt/heard on both the cast and retrieve. How much line did you put on the reel?- Tatula Clicking Sound
Tatula = Magforce Z- Daiwa Sol Ii
They run about 250au which is about 240us plus another 35-40 in shipping charges. You can have your yellow/orange Tatula for just a little under 300.- Extra Fast Action Rods
I like them for frog fishing, jig fishing, and a few other odds and ends. They are a tool, and in my fishing they have a use.- Zillion Questions
Take all of what I say with a grain of salt, because I am speaking what I think I know, and have not actually tried some of this. The stock dragstar will work fine with the Type R handle. I don't think that the type R is worth the extra money if you already have the handle. The RCS 1016 won't fit in a Zillion, it will fit in the TDZ 103 and 105, and a couple of the Steeze reels and the Zillion spool will not fit the T3. The Zillion spool will fit a Fuego, and a TDZ-100M. I think your other questions are more a matter of opinion.- Broke Two Rods While Rolling Up The Car Window.....
Agreed, he actually paid 400 for 2 new rods.- What Im Rating Would You Compare A Tatula To?
The *** and Tatula rods scored exactly the same in a review done by another popular site.- What Im Rating Would You Compare A Tatula To?
IM ratings are like many other things in the fishing industry, non-standard. You may be able to gain some type of useful information within a brand of rod if they use an IM rating to rate all their rods. There is no current standard to rate a rods ability to transmit vibration, and any attempt to do so is entirely subjective and an opinion of the person performing the review or rating. Even if all rods were rated in terms of an IM rating, it would only describe the graphite used in the construction of the blank. There are many other factors that end up determining the overall "Sensitivity" of a rod.- Tatsu...spinning Or Casting?
Anyway you go it's great line and you won't regret your purchase.- Frog Frustration
- Tatsu...spinning Or Casting?
IMO, the best use for your new line would be to use it on a BC for your bottom contact baits. Braid with a FC leader works best on spinning equipment in my use. Crankbats work well with FC line also, but I would not use something as expensive as Tatsu for them.- Daiwa Sol Ii
This is the Sol II it is marketed for the, ADM Australian Domestic Market, it is just a Tatula with a different color scheme and a few other minor changes. I think it is a disgrace to give this reel the Sol name, and I do like the Tatula for the record. - Who Do You Think Will Win The 2015 Classic And Why?
