Woah!

Ugh I might be done for the month and I only posted three fish . I might try to go out early Saturday morning but we are having a big tailgating brunch after being away for thanksgiving so that may just be a dream lol.

Ugh! We can't buy a fish! I got a 10" on my first cast of the day and then NoThiNG for hours! We walked and walked an threw the tackle box at them :/. A friend of ours is fishing shiners and keeps posting pics of all his fish gah! So disappointing!

I will throw in for December!

We are stuck in 2 pound-ville!

Of course we feel we have no idea what the hell we are doing at this point because we went from catching all the time to...meh.

Gah! That's us too. We have yet to figure out our spots well yet we catch enough to keep us interested and the one place in particular is 30 min away and lots of bank to fish so it is a bit consuming on all accounts. I did catch my biggest this month there and the crappie so we are going to try again just a different approach to the area.

Praying to to fishing gods that I catch something worthwhile in the morning :/

We went out for a bit with the kids. Caught one on a lizzard and one on a white fluke. Neither over 11". SO and his son caught a couple smalls too. Hoping to get into something good next weekend. The bonus tonight was Tyler rigged his own and then caught two.

No fishing for us lately. It's raining here now. We did get out earlier to a wildlife open house and got to meet Paul Bedard of Gator Boys . We look totally geeked out roflmao.

Thank you all! I'm taking screen shots so next time we go shopping I can take a look. It does seem rather complicated. Since I can't fish after work through the winter at least I can figure out the bc at home lol.

Here's a topic to chat about...my SO asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him I wanted a bc setup. I don't have one and don't know how to use one for bass fishing so I need suggestions on a good bc reel that would be a good "learner" and not break the bank and what pole to put it on. Thx

I'm only fishing on the weekends and even then I'm ensnared in wedding nonsense and planning a football party coming up! We are taking the kids to Okeechobee for some wildlife thing to see the gatorboys. The poles will probably take a ride lol.

Went out to the same spot today because apparently I didn't get enough yesterday lol. Crossed a swampy area that opened up a whole new land of opportunity. Apparently I don't know how to use a swim bait because I missed three today...only one that likely would have been worth mentioning. I did catch one small. Interestingly enough I caught this decent sized crappie which was fun.

Thank you!!! There seems to be a lot of variation in color around here. I have been pulling up some really pretty ones. This was a new area that I'm about to become obsessed with. There's three or four decent sized ponds and a canal that runs down the back. Peaceful. Quite a bit of variation in vegetation etc. My new happy place

Out to the new spot by 8am. Overcast and breezy. Second cast I caught a 15" on a zoom speed worm black and blue rigged on a 3/0 and braid, weedless, weightless. Thought it was a good sign for the new spot then...nothing. SO switched to a junebug fluke and caught one. I walked waaaaay down to another pond. Threw my worm, a gambler big EZ, and a wacky rigged worm and nothing. Switched to swim bait and caught a small that threw the hook. Next thing I know I've got a good one on. I'm still by myself and it jumped a few times. It was pulling drag and I was concerned it would throw the hook of it kept jumping. Got it to shore. Just a 17.5" but it was a nice fight. He was caught on my lucky Walmart special pole on mono, with an old one-eyed blue gill swim bait lol.

Have a plan and a new spot for tomorrow morning. I'm hoping mostly just to have a nice morning of catching since we have struggled the last few times out.
