Lol sweet! I actually wanted to do that in the Tahoe because I took out the third seat and put in dog crates. We could have used that set up this weekend since we took the Nissan to DB.

Awesome fish LMG!!!

We dragged ourselves out of bed this morning against better rational judgement lol. We went to the insider spot. It's an amazing spot but it was quite cool this morning and we only got little guys. I would go back there again for sure and it's nice to know there are bass in Daytona. The tip came from a landscaper who said he saw a bass eat a baby duckling before lol. We stumbled upon another pond. We weren't catching but persistence paid off. We caught a few small guys and I got one 14.5" which with my numbers I could still probably use lol. My SO had a nice one on but he fought him all the way to shore but he was never actually hooked and he lost him at the bank.

Wow nice fish Mutt!!! We finally got some inside info to this area. We fished a bit tonight, threw everything but only caught two smalls on worms. I tried and tried with my frog but I just don't think they were there. We weren't going to fish the morning after our disappointing day today but with new info we feel "obligated" to go

Holy cow! I hate days like that lol. At least I could blame this on crappy areas. We noticed we haven't seen a single "no fishing" sign around. There are "no swimming" though. We've decided Daytona kills their fish lol. Wedding chores are done. The SO is almost done laying a pergo floor for my parents and it is almost time for football .

Ugh I think why there is no info in this area is because it sucks! One place should have been amazing...no signs of life. One place looked dead and was dead. We finally found a decent spot but ran out if time. Frustrating morning.

The good, the bad and the ugly report. Good: I tried a zoom lizard in a tricky area tonight and I got one! The fish trapped it against the weed line. Bad: it was only six inches roflmao. Ugly: I got murdered by Mosquitos! I tried my frog for longer but still gave in since I had limited time. I did catch a 12" on a wacky rigged worm.

I have a lifted Tahoe and my SO has a dodge truck and do you think I had either today...no. I had my daily driver which is a Nissan Altima so the end of the rods were up in my face the entire commute lol.

I have a few frogs but I just don't have any confidence in using them so I always bail on them :/. I need to go once and ONLY take the frogs.

On my way home hopefully to get some time in. Is it weird that I want to rig my pole at the stop lights???

I joined the comp this month not only because I like a good contest but also to hopefully learn and become a better angler. It had motivated me to go outside my comfort zone. I've enjoyed everyone's stories!

Zack, we haven't. I actually live in St. Lucie county and work in Palm Beach county. We only go up to Volusia to help my parents and we are getting married there in Feb. I will keep it in mind though if we get more time. Thanks! Well, I'm late for work this morning but poles and gear are in the car. The plan is to fish after work although I forgot my fishing shoes so I will be going hardcore in scrubs and flip flops!

At my friends pond we catch the bluegill like that and hook them through the tail and the piggy bass in there come out for them lol.

Thanks AK! The spots I have are actually spots we saw when we were there last month drivin around doing errands. My parents live in Port Orange and we saw a few on the back way to the speedway which I think is the opposite side of where you are talking about so I will check the other side on Google. Thank you! I have had such a hard time trying to find any info online and no one replied to my thread here.

Funny you say that because I was reading another thread that got me thinking about that! Idk since I am SO not there skill wise I felt relieved hahaha.

Lol LMG! I had one like that recently. I caught a nice one fishing with the guys. I was around the corner from them. I got it on shore, it threw the hook and started immediately flopping its way back to the water. I swear it was slow motion noooooooo. They heard the commotion just in time to see me slide, fall flat on my butt and make the catch right at the waters edge lol.

We have found a couple new spots to try locally but we have no time lol. I am hoping to get out Thursday. This weekend we are headed to Daytona Beach/Port Orange to lay some flooring for my parents and do some wedding chores so I want to work some time in but have NO idea where to go. Everything online is geared to saltwater. We saw a few potential places last month but who knows. I was kicking myself last month cause there was a nice spot behind our caterer's in Orlando but we had nothing on us. If anyone knows the area DB/PO please help a girl out .
