Im a Mississippi fisher....along with brianwhite who is also on the bored, we mostly fish Pickwick out of JP Coleman...

the amount of big fish that are being caught is absolutely unreal! Im hoping i get my shot at one of those HAWGS before long...ill be back at it again this weekend..

yea I heard it was on fire! Had a friend of mine weigh in a 28.9 sack this weekend with a 10.9 HAWG! another group of friends that I talked to weighed in 21 and finished 15th place! geeeez....and as for me and ol bwhite ^^^^^ we fished for about 6 hours and caught 1 fish about a 1.5 pounder

I have a Veritas and and Skeet Reese...I would go with the Veritas all day every day hands down! ...just my MO

Thanks for the info guys....I have been confused about rods for some time now. I am looking for a cranking rod now and I should be set up to cover mostly everything.

I know this is sort of a broad question, but I am having trouble learning what action rods to pair with certain baits...for instance..I beleive I need a md action rod for cranking, Heavy for pitching and flipping in thick cover, which type of rod should I use for spinnersbaits? Top Water baits? Rattle traps? Jerk baits? any help is greatly appreciated...
