Didn’t know the outpost sold bait

On my way to try it out no clue what I’m doing but bout to buy big minnows at the BP and go from there

Im not worried about rain but its the 40 plus mph winds im not sure about haha I only live an hour away so I can plan the trip another weekend soon

looks like the trip may get cancelled for me! this weather is gonna be terrible

nice! we will figure out details closer to time- its a 22 foot fishing pontoon, super nice and roomy- I have cast net to catch bait if we need to, also have several spinning combos set up with light line- I wont be there until evening on thursday october 8th-

just depends....sometimes my wife and daughter want to go, sometimes its just me and my little boy- we can come and go the camper is going to be parked at the campground there by the boat ramp

If you are ok with drifting in the pontoon boat we can do it!! My family will be with me as well

I will be camping at pickwick dam october 9-11 and plan to drift fish for smallies- any tips or baits i should start with? I have a cast net and plan to catch shad to use for live bait- any other techniqes I should be aware of or try?

there have been tons and tons of reports of asian carp being caught by commercial fisherman out of bear creek. The cement in white bags sounds interesting, id like to know what this would be? I do know that crappie fisherman use wood pallets with vertical wood stakes on them to make stake beds...could that be it?

i hope to be going soon and fishing live bait...been trying it and still havent figured it out yet...only caught a few catfish so far, I will keep trying

looking like we may have some good fishing soon with some cooler nights and cooler mornings weve had lately

I understand its better when they are running water but what do I look for on the app to see when they are pulling water? what indicates that they are pulling water

also i hear of the fishing being better when they are "pulling" water what do i look for on the tva app to see if they are pulling water? discharge? upstream elevation? downstream elevation? or Generators running?

these cooler temps are geting me ready to make a trip to pickwick dam to drift some live bait for some smallmouths! anybody been lately?

Im gonna go soon....I dont get in the current much as I run straight across and fish along the walls and the far right side..

any idea when they will quit "spilling" here?

anyone fished below pickwick dam lately? thinking about going saturday....gonna small mouth fish first then if thats not working try to catch some sauger and crappie along the concrete walls to the right of the dam..

you can catch them this time of year at the dam drifting live bait...and the bait that I have caught the most on at the lake has been a Strike King rage craw in watermelon rigged on a shakey head

will be out of school on the week of nov 23-27....will be trying my luck there a couple of those days

following this....wont get to go this weekend but hopefully the next

where is that place at if i were to pull out of the BP what would my directions be? I hate that BP now...im gonna bite my tongue but that place has gone down and the minnows there SUCK!
