  1. Welcome, where abouts in Central IL are you? Im from Peoria.
  2. Just thinking about skipping a lure seems to have caused a backlash on my reels.
  3. When I go fishing I go for min 3-4hours and try to go 2-3 times a week, unless weather goes south or they just arent biting. My fishing buddy who is married and has a 2yr old is lucky if he gets to go out with me once a month. Life is more important than fishing.
  4. I always throw a senko in dead sticking, while Im working another rod. Always get a bass but more than often they arent real big.
  5. Been having good luck at Eureka Lake and Banner Marsh(Central IL) lately
  6. Been thinking about taking a weekend trip up to the Hennepin Canal. Anyone ever fished it, or have any tips. Thanks
  7. Was out this weekend fishing from shore, lots bites on plastics landed a few small large mouths. Lots of people were out. Hoping to hit it hard this weekend again.
  8. Do some checking I heard newton is shut down for construction or something. I live about 3.5hrs north of it. It is great for fishing.
  9. Headed out today to hit Banner Marsh, took my 7yr old niece with me. On my 1st cast with a spinner bait landed this muskie. Didnt measure it. Didnt think Id even land it. Scared the niece she had never seen a fish this size before so she wanted to leave. So I was 1/1 on cast to catches today. Wanna Thank the fine gentleman that was on the dock. He was johnny on the spot with a net I forgot to catch his name.
  10. I use these too with good luck, and now that we have a bass pro shop I can try all there other stuff too.
  11. Was out at Banner Marsh this afternoon, with the front moving in didnt have much luck just one less than a pound largemouth.
  12. Welcome back
