Great job. That Neon barrage is super cool.

Booyah Swim Jig
A quick fix is to use a small cable tie to lock the skirt in place.

Welcome New Moderator!
Congratulations Jeff.

Ribbits, Horny Toads, And Chigger Toads
I prefer the Owner screwlock/ swimbait hooks in 4/0 or 5/0. I pour my own buzzfrogs and have a great hook up ratio on these hooks.

The Great Frog Debate- A Must Read!
Great post. Thanks for taking the time to type this up. I love frog fishing so much that my current flipping/ pitching bait is the Rojas fighting frog. Now I just need a frog colored spinnerbait and I'm set.

Walking The Frog
I twitch frogs on the mats and walk them in open water next to or between mats. For heavy mats I wrap lead wire around the hook shank and stuff in a couple of rattles as well. I feel that a heavier frog makes more of a disturbance on the mat and gets more blow ups.

Spro, Scum, Or Live Target Frogs
I also like the Spro frogs. The other brands are not readily available locally so my experience if them are limited. The Spro popping frog has it own dedicated rod and it always on deck except in mid winter.

At What Size Bass Do You Get Excited Over?
Anything around 5 pounds is a photo opportunity on my boat.

What Is Your Favorite Bass Bait.
I make any excuse to fish a frog. Hollow body or toad style doesn't matter. I get goosebumps just thinking about the extreme violence of a decent bass exploding on a frog. If I could afford to I would travel the world fishing frog the whole year.

Shimano Calais, Not Your Average Question
My boat is called the "Rainmaker" a shiny finish on a reel would not be a problem for me.

How Many Rods Do You Carry?
I carry between 12-20 in the boat. Hopefully I will have only 3-6 on deck. I can cut down to 4-5 if fishing as a non boater.

Stuck To Shimano
I have been a Shimano fan for 30 years and has been disappointed everytime I tried a different brand. I admit that the other reels have not been top of the range and that the high end reels from other manufacturers may be great reels but I will stick to what I know in the future.

Man Cave!
My boat trailer don't fit in the garage so the boat is under a carport and I have garage for workshop and storage. I have space for pouring soft plastics, making jigs and spinners as well as fly tying bench. For storage I have the kitchen cupboards that was ripped out when my wife got her new kitchen. Like Long Mike has said I'm afraid to take pictures because it looks like a train wreck inside.

Nicknames
The perch Rapala shadrap 5 has earned a honouable name under artificial lure anglers in South Africa. It is called the "springbokkie" (springbuck) after our national rugby team. In a country where rugby is almost a religion that is high praise indeed. Like the rugby team the Rapala also wears a green and gold jersey.

Fix Crankbait Or Not?
That crank is just starting to get character.

Must-Have Color
Black. I have never been anywhere where a black 4 inch senko couldn't catch a bass.

Why Bass Fishing
I would agree with Lund Explorer that the main attraction in Bass fishing for me is to scratch my competitive itch. I enjoy fishing for anything I can catch on lures but I find that bass has other species beaten hands down when it comes to competitive angling structures. A lesser though still valid motivation is that I'm fascinated by the gear (boats, electronics, tackle and lures). The preparation for competition is almost as much fun as the actual fishing.

Favorite Topwater?
I'm a frog fanatic. I fish buzzfrogs and toads instead of buzzbaits and use popping frogs as well a Spro's to walk the dog.

Impulse Buying..
I don't impulse buy but the local tackle shop mafia boss knows how to make an offer I can't refuse.
