I've got the Lowrance that come with my boat but looking for something a little better but pocketbook isn't that steep. another member mentioned a 'bird for $299 that had the DI on it, i looked at it at the Memphis bass pro and it seemed to be ok but i'm the type i want to play with it more before i buy ya know. 8. i own 3 myself and love em. wish all of mine were ducketts
  9. there is another topic about this, they are easy to make and cost a few bucks at most. i'll post a pic later tonight of the few i've made. get the survey flags at any home depot, lowes, etc. and the ferrules that crimp steel cables together. you can get the snap swivels anywhere, i used a size 5 on the one i made. figured it up all together i spent about $1-2 a rig
  10. all of my spinning gear is left handed, just the way it felt comfortable using to me and i have a left handed baitcaster for flippin so i'm not constantly swapping hands. all my other baitcasters are right handed though. it's not that they think they're ambidextrous, it may just be that's the way they learned or are comfortable doing it
  11. I went today out of jp but didn't have any luck. Any tips you guys could give for this time of year?

  20. looking to purchase a new unit soon, any pros/cons between the two? not looking to spend a fortune but wanting to get a good unit that will help locate structure & schools better. is the structure scan worth the extra $500 on the hds units? i've notice Humminbird units are cheaper but is the quality as good? any help will be greatly appreciated
