  1. Hello All, Could someone help me out and let me know the maker of this crawdad lure? Lip is molded into the body (in other words, its all one piece), eyes bulge out, about 3 inches long, and has one heck of a rattle. Picked it up at the flea market today for .25 cents. No manufacture name on it. Also has weedless trebles (not sure if they are original). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
  2. Thanks Jimzee, I live in Marshall County, and it was caught in the upper end of Fish Creek. Holes are few and far between when you get up in as far as we were. Could darn near jump across the creek. First time I have fished the creek in a few years, but I will go back soon
  3. Thanks Spaz, I was thinking the same thing. I thought my buddy dropped them as he was walking up the creek, so I just picked them up for him. When I went to give them back, he said they were not his, so I took off my rebel craw, and went with the little Senko. Needless to say, when big Mama hit, my buddy asked to borrow a Senko hahaha.
  4. Thank you Crestliner. I sure will be there again. It was just a spur of the moment choice to hit the creek, as we have been fishing the strip pits for the Hawgs, but this was a VERY pleasant surprise. Also the first time I have used such a small Senko ( Color 9B-10-042J Watermelon No Flake), but I may just have to purchase a few bags Just wish I had a scale with me. I would guess it was close to 5, but ill call it a 4 and a half:) Here is another pic. She was sort of beat up, im guessing from the spawn.
  5. We call those "fish sticks". No shortage of those around here. Kinda cute aint they!! hehehe They sure are mean fish for their size though. Darn things will hit anything!
  6. Hi All, On occasion we just take a ride "out the creek" with the kids to catch fish sticks(small bass), rock bass, and blue gills. I have fished the creek for 35 years, and have caught a few 12-14 inch keepers from time to time ( although i NEVER keep bass). If im hungry, we will grab a bunch a gills, sunfish, and crappie. So yesterday, im walking down a sandbar, look down, and there lays a BRAND NEW bag of 3 inch watermelon Senko's. Mind you, we are 20 miles from the nearest town, no one in sight, or I would have returned the Senko's if possible. So I go digging for the smallest worm hook I could find, and come up with a 2/0 which would have to do. Throw it into a 3 foot deep hole, and WHAM...Fish on!! 21 inches, 12 inch girth (kinda skinny), but by far the biggest I have caught in the creek. Took pics, let her go. Very unexpected, but even more fun!!
  7. We have been doing pretty well on the Ohio River with good ole Senko's (4 inch color 208). Both T-Rigged, and weightless. The smallies were slammin them last weekend( 2-3 pounders, with a few close to 4). I havent hit the creeks yet. As far as the shallow creeks go, we do very well on Rebel Craws, 2 inch floating rapala's, and the fail safe roostertails. Good Luck, and have fun!
  8. I have been knocking them out with the Mann's Hard Nose Lizard in ponds, and strip pits. Got a 5 pounder the other day, but have got several 2 and 3 pounders. Color is Brown on the lizard. They seem to be ripping those things up right now. My best producer do far.
  9. For me, I would have the say the Rat-L-Trap (Rattletrap) lures are over-rated. Boy o Boy, I have tried and tried these, and have just never done well with them. I have caught a few here and there, but not many at all. Maybe im just throwing the wrong color at the wrong time!
  10. Iv been having some luck on the Mann's Hard Nose Lizards. Red seems to be doing the best, but all colors have been working. I fish them weightless. Give 'em a try Also been doin real good on the Rebel Craw Dad. Of course, Senko's and rooster tails do great in ponds as well. Good Luck.
  11. 10 dollars a day is WAY too much, but my curiosity would get the best of me, and I would probably pay the cash, just to see how the fishin was.
  12. Getting skunked doesnt bother me much, but I'll have to agree on the Rooster Tail. They ALWAYS work. They used to sell Chrome ones, but I have not seen those for a few years. I still have one, but would buy more if I could find them. Great lure for the kids! The Chrome ones will pretty much guarantee a "no skunk"
  13. My guess would be a 12 pound bass ;D Just kiddin....probably a mad ole catfish, but ya never know :-/
  14. Caught a few real nice ones last week on Mann's Hardnose Lizards. Caught them from the Mighty Ohio River. The biggest went a tad over 4 pounds (my biggest smallie ever). Throw a weightless lizard, and see what happens. Might surprize ya:)
