BPS covers the Shimano 1 year OTC replacement no questions asked, after that you need an xtended warranty. Not for nothing, but Shimano has been very good to me for broken rods, no questions of when I purchased them.

Got me some CC traps and jerkbaits for $1.96 each in Clewiston when I went for the FLW event.

I can walk the banks and catch fish all day long. Fish finders are only goo to show you layout or structure and depth of water. You will learn through experience how to read the water and what to look for in certain situations. You need a wide variety of attacks from topwater to swimbaits to jigs. It comes with time. I have been fishing for 20 years, and sometimes its just your day.

You can toss 1oz on it w/o a problem. Its just a manufacturers recommendation.

I use a 6'8 MHXF Compre for jigs.

Get yourself some Spiderwire or Power Pro.

The Eeel Butter is not the problem. I use it, but then again I fish Shimano. Could be the reel. Could be not enough grease. Could be way too much, but it would have to be WAY too much.

I put braid on. If I need to I will tie a leader. But for me its better to have the stronger, and have the option for the visibility.

Stiffness of tip. Mod is softer than Fast.

How can I put this. It doesnt float like mono, but doesnt sink like fluoro. Yes you can use it for topwater, I have been experimenting with it myself on top with 12#, and so far I like it.

Went up for the FLW event in Clewiston. I got to meet and get autographs from great fishermen such as Jimmy Houston, Randall Tharp, Dion Hibdon, etc. Got Dion to sign my Shimano hat, so now it might actually be worth something, lol. Got a bunch of free stuff, and won some cool baits. Its nice to see the pros interact with the fans and sign autographs. Had a nice conversation with Dion about the fishing on the lake. He is a very nice guy, very humble. If there ever is a event by you, I suggest you go and check it out.

I use Power Pro 50# braid for my heavy cover apps like jigs and frogs. Everything else I use YoZuri 12, 15, and 20# depending on needs.
