  1. Read, read, read. Fish, fish, fish.
  2. I llike that it comes high speed.
  3. I have been eyeing that reel. The good reviews have tempted me to try one. Would like to cast one that someone has before I would pull the hammer on a purchase. Its a mag only brake reel right?
  4. Good job M. At least you caught some. Was tough today. Only pulled a few myself this afternoon.
  5. I would say the Shimano Citica. Its very simple brake design is more user friendly. Plus Shimano is built to last.
  6. Best gear purchases? My Shimano reels. All others have not made the cut.
  7. Its not a piece that is put under stress, so I have never seen a Citica cent brake outfit break.
  8. This weather down here has been beautiful. Gonna head to the lake and swim around Slims and sling some bait. Should be a good bit for the mid day time. Hopefully the fish are moving in for the spawn with this cold weather. We shall see.
  9. Quantum KVD signature reel. It was on sale for a good price. What a piece of crap.
  10. What's going on? Your buying more? Lol
  11. I forgot to add, buy Shimano reels.
  12. I've tried uploading pictures, but the new format for the site won't let me now.
  13. Both my Chronarch50Es have the Hawg Handles. Makes a world of difference.
  14. Boca Bearings ABC 5 kit in place. Reel is still apart awaiting the carbontex drag that should be here today. Took the knobs off the handle, and installed bearings in them. Now have a CiticaG handle with 2 bearings per knob, cool and smooth. This thing is gonna be a casting beast!
  15. The brake assembly material, and the crankshaft bearing is the main difference. Pretty much the same difference for the E series too. You can buy the bearing kit for a Curado G from Boca Bearings and install it in the Citica, but buy then your at the Curado price but with ABC 5 beàrings.
  16. Read all the different articles they have on the site.
  17. Im glad I had my rig in the car with me. Left work about 1500 and headed to the water. Nailed 10 nice bass in about an hour. They were all about 15", but really fat. They were munching on small brim fry the whole time I was walking the bank of this lake. I always have a good bite when the fronts first pass over.
  18. Money isn't a problem for me. I could easily spend $1000 on a rig, but I dont see a good reason to. I'm not a big electronics guy either. Same phone for 3 years, and laptop for 5 years. Heck even my 53" TV is 7 years old. I just know what limitations to spend my money on. Got my eye on a new boat, but it ain't no $30000 Nitro. I like to buy my stuff new so I know its well taking care of. Its just Bass fishing, not shark fishing.
  19. Just read the TT review on the Rage. Why would you design the reel seat like that? Not a fan of the large exposed threads. Nice rod, but that ruins it.
  20. Its the same reason people here in the US buy Lambos and Ferrari. Only going to go from point A to point B in the same way. Now there could be an argument for $100 to $200 reels, but lets be realistic, $500? As far as I'm concerned they can keep it.
