  1. Yeah, the Gambler worms are great for really big presentations, always have 2 bags of black/red with me.
  2. Small jigs in more open area F. Larger jigs in heavier cover XF.
  3. Lots of Zoom lizards, brush hogs, UV speed craws, UV speed worms, Gambler EZ swimmers, Culprit worms. All in respective confidence colors.
  4. I got mine, not impressive. I hope that there are better deals/rebates form the manufacturers.
  5. Ive been using Shimano products since my first baitcaster, a Bantam Curado CU-200. Havent had a reel company be as smooth, consistent, and reliable. Im sure others have had the same success with other companies, but mines been with Shimano. 20 years of their products in fishing, and have never had a problem. Heck, even when I raced BMX, the only brakes that worked good were their V-Brakes. They just take pride in their products, and do anything they can to help if there is a problem. You just have to see for yourself I guess.
  6. I had one. Pretty decent reel. Mag only brakes. Smooth, casts pretty good. One of the better inexpensive reels BPS offers.
  7. SHIMANO: S ome H aters I nitiate M atchup A nd N ever O utperformed
  8. Tomato, tomahto. Lol
  9. Sorry to hear. The lake is tough if not familiar with it. Can go from completely calm, to absolute hell in an instant. The important thing is you guys are OK. Live to fish another day.
  10. Chronarch E $199.95, Compre $99.95. Does it get any closer or perfect? No it doesnt.
  11. Most important, look for the Shimano name and the words Curado or Chronarch as well.
  12. No kids yet. You can bet that once he/she is born, they will be playing with a Shimano baitcaster until old enough to fish. (Familiarity is the key)
  13. So, I went to the new Sports Authority by my house, they dont have a fishing section.
  14. I recently just sold off the last of my Shock rods. They are amazing, but I cant stand cork. I still have an old Lightning spinning rod that is from 94 that I currently still use.
  15. Looks like your never getting a new reel.
  16. $8 for 300yds, whats the problem with that? Still cheap.
  17. I use 12lb Trilene for my spooks, and I live in S FL. I see no reason to use braid for it, but its not to say you cant.
