Need your advice about buying this as my first boat.... looks like the owner has taken good care of it, except for the propeller looking a little beat up. Just looking for something to get out on the water and fish a few smaller club tournaments Thanks for the help Great running 50hp Mercury Thunderbolt that never lets me down. 2 live wells,(1 front and 1 back) 12 gallon built in aluminum fuel cell, new marine carpet and treated wood where there was wood, front and back fish finders, 3 yr old trolling motor, new S.S. hinges and latches, Built in pole storage, 2 marine batteries in great shape. Lots of extras. Moving and need $ or I'd keep her.

Question On Sunglasses For Fishing
I wear Eye Surrender Sun Glasses... You can find them on tackle warehouse or on Eye Surrenders website . they come in 5 different colors and are $60. they go over what each color is for. like green is for sight fishing for largemouth because it helps bring out their lateral line, amber is for low light like in the morning or heavy overcast, ....and so on. hope this helps

Should I Be Worried About Being On The Waiting List?
So I registered for all 5 of the FLW BFL Great Lakes division tournaments as a Co-Angler without a Boater. I registered about 5 hours after the registration was open but I'm now on the waiting list. Is this just because enough boaters haven't signed up yet? should I try hunting down a boater? New to tournaments so I don't really know how it works...Thanks for the help!

Small Beginner
Use dark colored baits like black worms and jigs because when fishing murky water its mostly about the profile of the bait. I've also had luck with a dark colored crayfish shad-rap. finally ask around what has been working and trust your instincts.

Casting Reel Help... Braid/mono
i would try as said above. tighten the spool for casting so when the lure is left to free fall it goes at a slow steady pace. also lightly put your thumb on the reel before the lure hits the water. i know some braid isnt perfectly round like mono so it could be that the friction keeps it from losening. best of luck!
