I Got A Boat!!! Q About Some Modifications!!!
If you have a local metal fabrication shop you could take it in there and have them give you a est. on removing the front deck and adding to the seat post so that you can sit up a little higher. If you have or know someone that has a aluminum mig or tig welder then you could do it yourself and not worry about the fab shop. Hope this helps

Line For Deep Dropshot
Everything I have read on here is really good. The only thing that I haven't seen and could be a option is P-Line 100% Floro and also Bass Pro Shops XPS 100% Floro. I have used both and had no issues with either. The most important thing for me is using the lightest line as possible and getting the drag set before casting. Back reeling is also a option when fishing very light lines 4-6lbs range, but it takes a little practice to get use too.

Missile Baits D Bombs And Other Beaver Style Baits
I leaned on these style of baits a lot last year. I used Yum Wooly Hog most of the time. I feel that the rings in the bait play a big factor into getting the fish to bite. The wooly hog has bigger rings then what is shown above but same theory I believe. I have thrown other bait that resemble these style of baits but without the rings or smoother bodies and have not had the success that I have had with the ringed body style of baits.

Some Interesting Behavior I've Noticed In A Small Lake....
I have seen the same "skidding" action from bass here in Indiana. I have been at my wife's grandparents lake house and observed bass mostly juvenile schooled in about two feet of water. The bass were feeding on the the minnows that were in about 3-6 inches of water. The bass come in and take a swipe at the minoows causing several of the minnows to beach them selves. Where I was observing this there was a willow tree hanging over the water. When the minnows would beach themselves to get away from the bass the birds would come down out of the tree and eat the minnows. It was really neat to see. After I observed this happen a couple times I decided to get a pole and try to catch a fish. I threw a Rebel Pop-R and first cast landed a fish. I can tell you that the bottom is sandy and the water is pretty clear. Most of the time it's in the morning or late in the evening when I have observed the fish "skidding". I have also caught smallmouth that were schooled with the largemouth feeding on the minnows. That was something that I also had never seen before.

Favorite Pond Lure/technique?
Rapala minnow in black and silver. Learned how to bass fish with it in small ponds when I was a kid. If it wouldn't have worked I probably wouldn't be fishing today...lol

Confidence And Focus
I have fished from the back a lot and I know how easy it is to lose focus. I find that when I start to get flustered I will stop fishing for a min and then go to a comfort lure. A comfort lure for me is something like a super fluke or jerk bait. Hope this helps.

Bass Pro Shops , Cabelas, Dicks Sporting Goods
I would say BPS personally. I don't have none of the three close so I order a lot from BPS online. There is a Dick's about 40 min's from me and I have stopped in there when there is a sale, I think they are a little high on their normal prices.

Going To Dalehollow Tn. In May To Fish. Open For Pointers
I'll be going to Dalehollow in May. I know there are some reallly nice smallmouths. I am from central IN. and we don't have a huge population of smallies in my area. If any one has any advise on them I'll take it. I am taking my family so I am also open to crappie and bluegill advice for the lake. And while I'm typing lets not forget about the large mouths...lol. Thanks for the help.
