My personal favorite shakeyhead worm. Plenty of colors, cheap, available everywhere, and the plastic is a good marriage of durability/action.

Can't give specifics on casting improvements, but lets just say its VERY, VERY improved. I have a 7' M fast action spiining rod that struggles to load 1/8 lures. I can cast a 1/32 oz spro hair jig into orbit. No other line, even a thinner diameter braid comes close. I have had no issues with abrasion or knots...I can't wait to use it on a true UL when the shad run next year.

I bought some 1/0's a few years ago. Definetely not a fan of it for TX rigging. A bullet weight and seperate hook have more flex and wiggle. One day I noticed a bunch of bass fry all over a hydrilla covered flat. Looking thru my box, I found some 3" paddle tail bass assasin grubs in baby bass color.limited to shore, with veggitation in the water everywhere, the normal exposed ball head wasn't a good option. I stumbled across these jigs which I'd literally used 1 time in 3 years. Long story short and 30 fish later That started my use of these jigs. You have to watch them when using braid. The hooks do flex a bit. Its the design, just perfect for pulling grubs through grass that I like. Wish someone made a better quality model, but the luck e's work

Carbon lite handles lighten em up a 1/2 oz. IIRC you can put the duralumin gear set out of a carbonlite. That with the handle swap will get it about an ounce lighter...Other than that.Drag,Polishing/bearing flush and relube are the best tangible things you can do. A guy named jason Penn did some neat mods to his family of reels a few years back. Search here and TT.

Those B's were special reels. Recently I tossed a buddies 10 year old SF and was blown away....he admitted to minimal maintenance yet it had an absolutely effortless spool start up. Just a joy to cast.

I can get both for a similar price. Really leaning towards the Chronarch. The D is light enough to were the weight savings of the core isn't an issue. If anything I'm thinking the chronarch may feel more solid and not as "hollow". So before I pull the trigger, does the core have anything other than weight on the chronarch?

They catch fish, I use them on the flats occasionally. Havent had any special days with them or anything. I could see it being a decent prespawn crank in light cover. I prefer to use a rattlebait in the situation though.

Just checked their website, its called the "bubblegum worm". They make em all the way up to 9"...

Look up haw river tackle...they make a floating worm that has a profile somewhere between a creme scoundrel and a trick worm..I've used them for years for shakeyheads, but think it would be perfect for what you want.

Thanks man I'll do that in a month or so once life checks up and I'm ready to roll with it. Its on my list for this winter along with jig making. Last year it was tuning baitcasters and pouring my own plastics, both of which are addictive as all get out!

The river smallies around here in the small shallow rifles crush 1/8 buzzers. The 3/8-1/2 models get bit too, but the little 1/8 are great for just fun fishing and catch some fish that I think the bigger baits dont...AT TIMES. I'd really like to see someone make a quality small profile buzzer with more weight built in. I'd love to have a bait with the profile of the strike king 1/8 pro buzz but 3/8 weight! Im thinking about rigging something with tungstun weights this winter in the garage.

Really comfortable rod. Sensitive, light and well balanced. I have a 7' H thats perfect for 3/8 buzzbaits. Love seeing that American Flag printed on the blank!

Trim skirt to about 1/8" from hook in a v shape. Shorten weed guard if need be. Flair weed guard out. On certain baits with a horizontal line tie I'll bend it to the vertical posistion. Its not a priority or anything, but occasionally Ill add a rattle.

Another thing i like about them is they cast much,much better than other cranks their size. I can cover some water and do work with that bait early season. Lucky strike's knock off version is the same size, but weighs 1/8oz versus 1/4+oz on the RC.

Buy every Lucky Craft RC .05 you can before their gone. The dropped this size when they went to the T.O. crank. Best numbers crank in existance.

I had a buddy who had the same issue. If memory serves a lot of people seemed to have a few issues years back and shimano denied it had a problem? I could be wrong on that.

I have a 7' M premier that I regretted buying the first time I fished it. Its dead in my hand. Sensitivity is poor. The rod is so tip heavy it hurts my wrist on any tip up techniques. After replacing a lost guide insert I ended up making it a squarebill rod, it does the job with no complaints. The 7' MH veritas I have isn't perfect, but its a much better rod in my hand. Sensitive and the balance/weight are better than my $200 rods. The only gripe I have, and it does bug me is the reel seat... My 2¢ is the carbonlites the best rod in that price range...

Any 50 or 100 series shimano will be up to the task quite nicely.

Mines the similar, maybe not THAT extreme but you do really need to crank it when putting the knob back on. Just the design where it takes that much to reach the end of the spool shaft..Doesnt bother me. Ive had a few reels that had the opposite problem. Nearly lost the cap a few times.

Definetely a fun gun and great for sharpening the old shooting skills. I use either the .223 or 60 grain 6MM Rem (talk about a good long distance round for groundhogs!) Your right about tearing up foxes (bobcats too) a little more. Thing is coyotes can get around 80lbs here. I basically had one laugh at me one night with the .17.....Couldnt do it again. Me and my buddies are out to work on the coyotes, so hides dont matter to us the dumbest thing the VDGIF ever did was release them. They've devasted the turkey and quail, and Im sure it aint helping the rabbits. Is fur worth anything right now? I kept coon hides as a teenager. Shot hides brought around $4-5 bucks, trapped went for 7-8. Of course a 20lb coon down here is a monster.

Used to use one for predator/ groundhog hunting..USED to. Switched to a 223 and never looked back.

Great win. They still tried to give it away at the end. There was a sequence where they made a penalty on 4 outta 6 plays. Eli was definetely COMING in the fourth. Romo doesn't make that 3rd and 13 pass and I think g men could've won that game. Defense is gonna keep them in games this year. If Murray can stay healthy they can beat anybody. Good D + strong running game is still a good combination. O line looks terrible, but the quick tempo game helped them.
