Grass Jig Question
I'm aware of that. Triton mike was credited in article 4-5 years back with helping to design them, by the uncle josh rep. I honestly don't know his full role. Perry Haas does seem to me the main brain behind all of the "stalker" jigs.

Grass Jig Question
I've used both of them alot. The AT does okay penetrating THROUGH grass, but The UJ/BS can actually be cast and worked through the junk much, much better. In addition to going through veggies, the UJ/BS does quite well in wood. It's a really versatle jig. I throw these with a strike king perfect skirt in bluegill (tails trimmed) and a watermelon rage craw more than any other lure. These are the some of the best jigs that nobody throws.

Grass Jig Question
Grass stalker by seizmic(sp)/uncle josh. These and the spot stalker were designed in part by the same guy who designed the bull shad swimbait. The only jig Ive found to actually go through algae pretty darn good. Vertical line tie is the deal on grass jigs. The head is designed to kick the trailer up more also.

Possible Uses For A Med Light Rod?
In addition to the above mentioned techs. Hair jigs, small cranks like the rebel craws and crickhopper, finesse texas rigs, drowning a nightcrawler under a bobber, etc.

Why Might Fish Like Swim Jigs Without Trailers??
I agree 100%. Man those bucktails are some of the best numbers baits I own. Spro makes a great one. Gamakatsu hook, realistic finish,GREAT mutli species bait.

Revo Stx
Its likely your wrist. The revo I own casts great, but you have to be very smooth. You can't snap or flick it like with other, more forgiving reels.

Clackers On Buzzbaits
I'm a buzzbait nut. It's one of my favorite techniques for brown and green fish. I've spent an untold amount of time throwing them in the past 10 years. My opinion? The only things that make a noticeable, consistent diffrence are speed, size, color, and the way it sits in the water. With color being the least important factor of the four. Before someone says, "ya can't beat a black buzzbait", I've seen Smallmouth go nuts over buzzers without a skirt. River smallies are awesome creatures lol. There are a ton of buzzers with clackers, colorado blades, holes in the wings, special sideways heads, etc. In my experience, they all put the same amount of fish in the boat. Buzzbait fishing is about location and angles. I know some people go nuts over a bait "squeeking" and what not. I've done all the mods and tried alot of brands, and there isnt much of a gap among the quality brands. I will say I have much better luck with the traditonal "lunker lure" shaped buzzbait than the inline variety. Why? The way it rides through the water.

If You Had One Lure To Use For The Rest Of Your Life, What Would It Be?
Jig. That bite never dies.

Bass Pro Rods
You won't find a better balanced rod under $200 than a micro carbonlite. Really, really nice. Not a fan of the hook hanger, but all in all its a steal especially when on sale.

White Braid
The thing i dont undertstand is why everyone colors their braid with a black sharpie? Black will make it stand out MORE in alot of situations. I take a spike it and mark up the line on the spool, breaks up the line betterIMO.

Addictions
I hear ya on the "high" part. Your body actually makes endorphines after a work out that make you feel good. Theres nothing better than hitting chest and biceps and walking around with the pump afterwards. I've been eating and lifting like a boss for about 6 weeks now and feel great. Not doing any supplements this time. Shooting for 200grams protein a day and timing the carbs right. To help with not getting burned out, you may want to take a few "cheat' days here and there. And personally I'd get off the jacked, maybe start loading creatine at the same time so you keep your head in your routine. What are your goals?

Kvd 1.0
A 7' M fast action st. croix cast those and the RC .05's just fine for me. A lighter tipped rod may load a bit better, but I'm throwng these baits around wood mostly and don't want to sacrifice power.

Counting The Days....quitting Sucks
HaHa i think you mighta confused quarts with pints JF. I kid, I kid.

Counting The Days....quitting Sucks
Thats a great point. I took each craving one at a time. With each one you weather, over time the more infrequent they'll be. I've been smoke free for 3 years now (after 15 years of a pack a day), and have zero desire for them anymore. Do what you can to limit access to them. DONT, I REPEAT DONT KEEP THEM AROUND YOU. I found popping a breathsaver with each craving helped alot. YOU CAN DO IT MAN!

Best Lures For Small Lake With Weeds And Algae
Couple tips to try. Plastics with nail weights inserted inside them. Make sure to cover the eye of the hook with plastic best you can. Cut the tag as close as possible so it don't collect algae. Crank baits with the middle front hook clipped off. Jigs with a bullet shape head, and a vertical line tie. The line tie is the key. Hop it instead of dragging it. I prefer the Uncle josh "grass stalker" jig. Good Luck!

Dilemma
Nope won't hurt it. Al linder used to do it to the old ambassadeurs. I use a drill, works faster.

Braid With Fluoro Leader
Most guys use leaders for abrasion or line visibility issues. I just like the fact ghat I save $ on exspensive braid. Constant retieing can really shorten a spool of line pretty quick. For all purpose use I run 30lb braid w/ 12 yozuri hybrid as a leader. The spinning rig gets 15# braid/6# leader.

Should I, Or Shouldn't I?
Despite the issues some of us have had with the CL, I would still get it over the sig on weight alone. Ive owned both, the sig is smoother, but noticeably heavier. It didnt handle light baits no where near as well as the CL either. The drag would stick and studder on the sig I owned also. I had to press the thumb bar a few times to keep a big fish from breaking off. Just be sure to inspect the CL before you buy. The one I currently own is a real gem. Casts lighter cranks great, is smooth, and has a really good drag. I cant speak for long term use yet, but I have no reason to doubt it.

What Knot Are You Useing For Your Alabama Rig??

Metal Detecting?
He's onto something ROC. The area where the clothes line was is another good house site spot for coins. For a brand new machine, you need to spend $450-500+ to get a quality, deep machine. Once you get above 500-600 the difference is bells and whistles that arent always needed. You basically need a good, deep machine that has discrimination (can ignore certain metals of your choosing, like aluminum pull tabs) and target ID (tells you whats giving you the signal). You can find deals on used on that site where craig lists things. A few good manufacturers are White's, Fisher, Minelab, and Nautillus. If you get close to buying one, feel free to ask and I'll help anyway I can.

New Carbonlite Reel
Sorry to hear that bro. Sounds like you may need to just go with a different model. I would have myself, but BPS didn't have anything in store for a comparable price I wanted. If they'd had a righty in the older model I would have went that route.

Metal Detecting?
Honestly guys once you get past the initial investment of a machine its a really low cost hobby. Compared to hunting or fishing, where I spend give or take $500 every year (Not counting new guns/boats). Batteries are about the only expense (alot of machines now have rechargeable ones). You can also save by going used. It's a blast, no doubt. Me and a buddy have been going at it pretty hard on some civil war sites lately. My family owns some land where the rebel army camped for a few days waiting on supplies. My grandfather wasn't the best groundskeeper, lol. So we're having to work through alot of junk, but the finds are coming slowly.

Metal Detecting?
Been getting into more and more this year. Anyone else do it?

What Popular Lure Have You Tried But Had No Luck With?
Gunfish. I'm a top water nut. I love throwing sammies, spooks, x-walk 13's ( ), buzzbaits, lunkerpunkers, etc. But haven't caught much on the GF. I've honestly only thrown them 4-5 times. There's just always another bait I'm more confident in.

Is It Better To Hooked And Lost Or Never Hooked At All?
Depends on HOW big. Honestly if I lost a 20lbr, despite the info gained, it would haunt me lol.
