  1. KVD was fishing the FLW before they started this 11 event Elite Series, show me how well KVD did in the FLW. I believe he is smoking the BASS guys more than he did the FLW boys. Chew on that. I THOUGHT HE DID AWESOME IN FLW. IN 3 SEASONS WITH THEM HE WON OVER $227,250 WAS AOY IN 2001, RUNNER UP IN 2002. NOT BAD FOR 3 SEASONS. FINISHED 22 IN 2003. FISHED 1 TIME IN 99 AND CAME IN 2ND AND WON $100K. SO GRAND TOTAL...FISHING 21 EVENTS HE AMASHED $370,950 And what are his stats in that time frame with B.A.S.S.? Alot of the top guns that are now fishing the FLW, weren't there in 2001 or 2002.
  2. Yeah, best fisherman on his home lake. Lets see how he does on the Elite Tour this season. He might join Byron Velvick near the 70-80 mark.
  3. Strange, so everytime they stop, the have to jump in to another boat. That must be a little time consuming.
  4. I agree, everything about this Classic was boring. As much as they advertise Puralator, Toyota and Advance Auto Parts during every commercial, you think they would wrap those boats, considering the Elite Series is all about the wrap boats and showing off sponsors. The boats didnt' even look like the new X2's that Triton produces. They looked like the Tr-Series. I know for a fact Swindle wasn't driving an X2 because the back of his boat was different looking, the Tr look.
  5. Maybe he forgot to cover it, or his contract was through the 2007 Classic, considering the Classic is part of last years tourney. I'm assuming he had to keep the logo presentable.
  6. Question, the coverage after that swindle stunt showed a observer in the boat with Swindle as he passed Randy Howell, what happen to that guy when Swindle started fishing after that incident? Where do those observers go, do the anglers put them in the rod locker box or what?
  7. I have no issues with what Swindle did actually. What is he suppose to do when those spectators clog up the whole d**n waterway and don't allow enough room for other boats to go through them. Is he really suppose to slow down every single time he comes up to a floatily of boats. NO. Those spectators should be over 100 yards away from the pro anglers. Look at all those boats, what the heck was Swindle suppose to do? STOP and waste time in the Classic? Really, this is a huge over reaction to nothing.
  8. Well, I would freakin' hope so, FLW started in 1997. Can't build to much history, tradition, prestige in 10 years. By the way, what makes you think they have better anglers? If I recall, Luke Clausen, exclusive FLW guy won the Classic last year. Set records. KVD was fishing the FLW before they started this 11 event Elite Series, show me how well KVD did in the FLW. I believe he is smoking the BASS guys more than he did the FLW boys. Chew on that.
  9. I believe Gerald Swindle has a Triton during the Elite Series.
  10. Well, I think there are rules in place in attempt to not allow talking amongst anglers. So if caught, they could be DQed.
  11. Everything is the same. You have all the federation guys and the 1 weekend series guy. Nothing has changed. It's just easier in the Federation now, cuz so many people switched over to FLW.
  12. Thats the point, I think you missed it. Things are set up, so a single forum area discuss' this topic. I'm sure this will get moved by tomorrow morning.
  13. Look at my 2007 Classic Weigh-in post.
  14. I've never heard of that. They have to prepay $55,000 before the start of the season. However that money is distributed throughout the events are beyond me. But I believe they have 3 majors that are no entry fee events.

  16. I don't think Gerald Swindle and Gary Klein will do very well because they are starting at the back of the pack. Considering the lake is so small compared to what they normally fish on, they may have to rely on there 2 or 3 spots to start the day, which isn't a good thing.
  17. I think AOY automatically gets #1 boat position, so Ike's not in the drawing.
  18. On Monday, BASS conducted the boat takeoff position drawing for the 2007 Bassmaster Classic Below you will find the list of takeoff positions for the 07 Classic. An interesting fact is that second place finisher in the 2006 Angler of the Year race, Steve Kennedy, ironically drew out boat number two. Check out the field below. 2007 Bassmaster Classic Field By Boat Number 1 Iaconelli Michael 2 Kennedy Steve 3 Monroe Ish 4 Lowen Bill 5 Rowland Zell 6 Quinn Jason 7 Martens Aaron 8 Omori Takahiro 9 Horton Timmy 10 Thliveros Peter 11 Lintner Jared 12 Long Brent 12 Reynolds Jeff 13 Reed Matt 14 Lane Russ 15 Tucker Mark 16 Duckett Boyd 17 Remitz Derek 18 Lashlee Sam 19 Scroggins Terry 20 Evers Edwin 21 Dennington Royce 22 Niggemeyer James 24 Brauer Denny 25 Biffle Tommy 26 Colwell Russell 27 Reese Skeet 28 Hackney Greg 29 Charlesworth James 30 Hamlin Tom 31 Murray John 32 VanDam Kevin 33 Wurm Mike 34 Kriet Jeff 35 Howell Randy 36 Novack Chris 37 McClelland Mike 38 Waterman Kevin 39 Crews John 40 Rojas Dean 41 Faircloth Todd 42 Wirth Kevin 43 Jordon Kelly 44 Bailey Lee 45 Clunn Rick 46 McWilliams Terry 47 Swindle Gerald 48 Klein Gary 49 Tsukiyama Shigeru 50 Jones Alton
  19. I smoked a rock wall on the Mississippi river during a tournament. I was stupid and didn't realize the water came down a full foot overnight. Well I ended up going through this small fast flowing narrow thing to get to some flats, that would be accessible with normal water levels. Well, not knowing the level dropped, I smoked a rock wall and thought I knocked the d**n lower unit off. Scared the ***** out of me. Didn't shutup the motor or anything, since I didn't hit the prop, I smoked the lower unit at around 15 mph, no lie. It stopped me cold turkey and jumped the back of the boat up and over the rock wall. I quickly shut down the motor, raised it, seen no damage, started it up and everything worked normal. Thank god. Mercury motor. Point of story, I did put a little knick in the prop and lost 3 mph on the top end. Fix it, and actually gained 5 mph.
  20. I like Falcon Cara's and Falcon Cara Reactions, their new sticks. It's a limited lifetime warranty. I've switched from St. Croix to Falcon. I feel that the Falcon's are more sensitive than the Croix's.
  21. Yes, they do live weigh-in's for all FLW Tour and FLW Series events. They did it all last year also. They do live weigh-in's for everyday of competition. FLW doesn't make you pay for a BAssInsider membership like BASS/ESPN does to watch a weigh-in. I think maybe FLW Stren Series is also live on the net.
  22. Squid, they were talking about the BASS vs FLW thing. They got off topic like most forum threads do. Filter out the BFL, Stren and all that other stuff they talked about. They compared how much the BASS pro's and FLW Tour pro's get for payback. I hope I posted the correct link stating that stuff for you. If not, oops.
  23. I highly doubt you did any internal damage to your motor. The only problem you will have with a bent prop is, you will lose top end speed and a poopy hole shot. I'd suggest you bring that prop in and get it fixed. Don't go with the cheapest place either.
  24. Squid, I'm not gonna argue with you on this. Refer to this thread... http://www.futurebass.com/cgi/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1251 Read this and tell me what you think after reading. Ribbit_Ribbit, matching another persons contingency money seems like a great idea, but I've never seen that in writing that they would do that.
