Gamakatsu 60degree 3/0 EWG hooks
GLoomisMan... those are the same type hooks I keep finding. Those aren't the Etra Wide Gap hooks that I'm looking for. I've been using some tubejigs from a company called Ohio Lure Company. They are the only ones to use the 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu hooks with the 60 degree bend. I found a mold for it already, but need a more reliable source to get the hooks.

Gamakatsu 60degree 3/0 EWG hooks
Well, I trust Gamakatsu and believe in their hooks. I have Gamakatsu on my tow vehicle. The price of the hooks don't matter to me, I have my best hookup ratios with Gamakatsu's. Will never replace the first thing that hooks up the fish for me.

Gamakatsu 60degree 3/0 EWG hooks
I posted this thread here because it has to do with making jigheads for my tubebaits. Does anyone know where I can find some of these hooks. I emailed Gamakatsu and they emailed me back with a website that works maybe 65% of the time and when I emailed there person, they told me they only had about 1000 of these hooks available and I can't see them before I order them. Does anyone know of a site that has these exact hooks. I am an internet search king and can't find any of these hooks.

I can't believe some of your guys like that Byron Velvick from BassCenter. He has some great bits on his shows but the thing that drives me crazy is him saying WEST SIDE all the darn time and his queerish hand wave at the end of the shows. Whats up with that? The last episode I seen of BassCenter had Byron showing people how to back a boat down the ramp and launching it if they were alone. I thought that was great for the people that don't really know how to do that type of thing. For me, it doesn't help me because I have been doing this type of thing for many years now, but I did have my girlfriend watch it with me, so she can understand what to do when I have her back me down the ramp. I'm slowly teaching her how to back me in and how far to put the trailer in the water when loading it. It's all an exact science.

Lead for Jigs
I want to avoid the tired weights because I've heard they don't weigh the same and it's not a good metal. It's a dirty metal and I want a clean metal that friends can purchase from me and use. Thanks for your advice though.

What do you pull your boats with?
Looks like you got a good upgrade there. I like the looks of the Chevy frontends but you got a good vehicle there. I bet you got that on the GM Employee discount thing that was going on. I traded in my '02 Trans Am Convertible for a new 2005 Chevy Crew Cab LT. So far the thing is a gas hog with average 14 MPG and 10 MPG while towing the boat. It seems crazy because my mothers truck, which I used to tow boat previously, seems not to guzzle the gas as much. I now have 13,632 miles on a 7 month old truck and hoping that by the time I get to 20,000 miles, that it will start getting better gas mileage. I will be getting a topper or tonneau cover to help on this matter sooner or later. Anyways.... can't beat a Chevy/GMC. One questions for someone... How do the new 2005/2006 Dodge Mega Cab half tons tow? I don't like the oversized 3/4 ton trucks, so I would prefer the half tons only.

Lead for Jigs
Hello, I've recently purchased a melting pot to make jigheads for the endless amount of tubes I use on the St. Croix River. These things get expensive when you lose a jig every other cast when they lodge between the rocks and break off. I've read that the best place to get SOFT lead is from a junkyard. My question is: What do I ask when I go to the local junkyards/scrapyards?
