I regularly rotate power pro, super slick, and sufix performance, whatevers on sale. I just tried izorline spectra which i really liked as well. Regular power pro tends to be on sale alot and works great for me.

Definitely. I handled a 4000 last year and knew id get one some day. When it comes down to smoothness and bang for your buck, cant go wrong with the FJ. I still think thats the most smooth, solid spinning reel for your money. Just have to deal with a little extra weight. I use plano 3600 and 3700 boxes for storing tackle, and the shimano boxes for on the boat. Its nice to open it and all your jerkbaits/topwater are organized. It can be a real pain when 5 or 6 lures are all hooked together. Only downside is these boxes tend to be expensive. Your looking at $30 and up for a box.

I'm using a 5:8 ratio. I like the 5:8-6:2 ratios for deep cranks. 7:0 and faster for everything else.

And what a sale that was, lol. This morning my cart had an antares, stella, pxl-r, and a crucial crankbait rod in it, haha. After lots of thought i decided to go with the stella. Antares is a little heavier then im used too, ive already had a pxl-r, and if my gf saw one more rod tube on the doorstep i think she'd kill me

I had that exact model rod with a 51e on it. Its one of those rods that can do everything but the handle was way too short for my liking. I sold it immediately. Heres a pic to show how short the handle is. Handle was so short that it made the rod feel so ttip heavy. Id go for the next model up with longer handle.

X2 I started with full mono, then tried flouro. Mono stretches too much, fluoro is too uncontrollable, All my reels are spooled with braid and copoly leaders when needed...
