Hi my name is CITYBASSBOY I am a 12 year old bass angler and I've written a product review for BassFishingResource readers and members. I recently purchased the new Shimano 2012 Chronarch reel. First off, I'd like to say that this is a great reel that was worth every penny. This new reel contains a new facelift and some new upgrades. This reel has an aluminum frame and lightweight graphite sideplates. It has 7 bearings and comes equipped with Septon PV Power Grips. The biggest difference for this new reel is that Shimano added 3 gear ratios for both left and right-handed models. The model I purchased is the Chronarch 201E7. It retrieves 30 inches of line per crank, the maximum drag is 11 pounds, it has 1 S A-RB ball bearing, 5 S SUS bearings and it weighs 7.6 ounces. The gear ratio for this model is 7.0:1 and it retrieves left. I really admire this reel for it's look and durability. My hands are not very large but this reel fits comfortably and snugly in my palm and casts very smoothly. This reel costs about 210 dollars. I would really recommend this great new product to anyone whos looking for a high-quality reel.

Here in Ontario, Alabama rigs are banned. BUUTTTTTTT that is because they have 5 or 6 hooks. IFFFFFF we use an umbrella rig that has 4 hooks, it is perfectly llegal. i am looking forward to using mine!

Oh i'm sorry to hear that! You must've been so pumped. Have you entered a tourney after that one? The night before my first tourney, I was so nervous! i couldn't think.

I havent been out ice fishing because of the unusual warm weather we were having, but as soon as I can get out, IM catching a Nice BASS!

I feel your exactly right. If he doesn't want to pay more a little quality, then thats his choice. But he is close to you so I can how hard it is to say NO. I have these friends that i used to fish with (thank god its over) and every time they would come and fish on our boat or off a dock or something, instead of fishing, they would pick apart my tackle boxx and inspect everything. They would use and lose my stuff and put backlashes on all of my baitcasters. But i always let them use my stuff cause it was hard to say no.

My fishing partner is my dad and he gets me annoyed EVERY time we go fishing! Hes always talking and thinking hes pro when I'm thinking of what to do next or something. I cheer up a little after the trip when we go to McDonalds and I talk about how I caught more and bigger fish than him! LOL
