The more I read about weather effects on fishing the more confused I become. I carry a barometer in my boat but maybe I'm putting too fine a point on it. I guess the best thing is to go fishing whenever I can and just forget the weather. I'm on vacation on Little Lake Harris all May and I've caught 3 small largies and one bluegill this week. Not bad huh? On the other hand, not very good either. The barometer has been pegged way low all week so I've been blaming it on that. Please fishes, let me catch you, I'll throw you back, honest!

Let's see...if you know you need a license and fail to get one somehow it's society's fault that you behaved inappropriately. Man, does anyone accept responsibility for their actions anymore? On the other hand seizing your vehicle seems completely out of line, more fallout from the war on drugs policies. Why not seize your home and savings also, justify it with the RICO rulings.

Timely topic. I haven't used buoys yet but just made some. Six inches of 2" PVC with end caps, painted red w/ 4 oz sinkers. I enjoy fabricating stuff like this, keeps me occupied between fishing trips.

Can't speak for the metaloid but I've been very happy with the Inspira 30. Very smooth reel and drag. For only $5 difference you might consider the Inspira. Good luck whichever you choose. I think Okuma is going to get a lot more popular in the near future.

I haven't looked at a baitcaster since I was 14 years old (that's about 42 in human years) but I picked up an Ambassadeur C3, spooled it with Yo-Zuri ultrasoft #15 and gave it a shot. Worked out well, no more than one backlash per cast. About 20 minutes later I was doing better so I loosened up the reel a little, started casting side-arm ala Jimmy Houston and voila - doing ok. Amazing how much distance you can get with a baitcaster. Working on accuracy now but excited to be back in the baitcast community.

Well you've discovered a big secret - they DON'T catch bass. It's just a sales ploy to get your money. Same thing with Senko's. So I'm willing to help out any members with these worthless lures by disposing of them for you. No need to thank me, just a little service for my fellow bassers. ;D

A new world record bass is certainly an exciting topic but.... I'd like to hear more facts and less speculation. At this point I'm generally skipping the debate until the dust settles.
