  1. bait monkey has got me, I have a chance to get a duckett micro magic 7 M for 130.00 new. was thinking all of my weightless flukes, caffine shads, can thumpers and other swimming/weightless jerk bait stuff. BUT not sure if there is a 7 medium in his new 100 ghost rods coming out. If there is I can wait, so if there isn't a 7 M coming out is the 130 a good deal or could I get one gently used cheaper than that. Also is the 7 M a good rod for the above. last but not least. thinking a Curado E, shoud I get a 7 gear or is the 6 gears good enough. What is your opinion.
  2. Hooligan your my hero, 37 combos, and your PB says over 15, drooling atm, when my family had pontoon theyed chill, Id stay at front on trolling with 10-13 combos, just having a bawl. when I am co with a friend 6-7, when I am hitting shore, usally 3-4, if gf tags alone 5, she is an extra hand lmao
  3. yea this is a pond, clear water, all floro leaders on my spinning tackle but yea. it has the slop aswell but lots of big pockets with clear water
  4. pressured pond, but mainly kids and weekend warriors throwing crazy stuff. I have the wacky and shaky rod loaded up. Does white frogs work, thinking of the spro jr in white?
  5. the older model goes for 40-50 bucks, I did not know they are bringing it back, can someone give me a website or something, I don't see anything on RI site.
  6. Back pack 2-3 3700 And I use the BM mag bag they give you for free with about 20 bags of plastic In it. On small zipper part I keep plastics I know I will use. Mainly shaky head stuff. Rib snske. Robo worms etc...
  7. not to hijack, but still coldfronts feel like me trying to do calculus, lol with last nights storm and the my area temp dropping like 9 degrees, I don't even think I am gonna try to far away when it is proven that most bass shut there mouth.. yea yea I know smaller lures, etc may help but can foot the gas when before I get out, there is cards against me
  8. hey I was planning to go this evening, I am hickory, so still planning but said thunderstorms this evening, frogs, t rigs and cranks are the plan if I can
  9. there was a guy selling crucials on fleamarket and missed them, yea gonna try to get a used one
  10. Unless I can find a crucial used a hundo is we're I wanna stay atm
  11. fishing with a bud, I set my thumb on spool every cast before it hits the water. he was fishing big weights with T rigged worms, he told me since the weight is bigger he doesn't put his thumb on spool till it crashes through the surface of water. said sometimes he gets a small loop once over in his spool if ever. Conversation ended. I chewed on that all day. IMO and as explained since I was a newbie that the spool doesn't know when to stop, or is there a science in difference of weight and way it breaks water. nothing big but wonder why he'd not thumb it before it hits water.
  12. I think that may just be crank rods, I am not a big cranker and have a h20 brand M action rod, feels decent on the dt6 but on 5/8 crank baits sometimes feels like I am dragging in a fish already, even though it has a 3/4 rating.
  13. I didn't add convegance because I have never felt nor seen one for sell. I have a reel and no rod, lol like I need another rod but why go back in forth from tying T rigs to footballs. any way will be looking at 7'2 MH models. I have tried and used all models of shimano series up to new cumaras but want to keep this 100 or lower, so I can tell a slight difference in clarus and sellus but not much from clarus to compre. I know with jig taps you need a great rod; but do you think I could get away with a sellus for one. my current sellus is great topwater and sometimes spinnerbait rod, but well with those bites sensitivity isnt that big of a deal.
  14. nothing like yalls but few of my babies, Custom 7'2 HXF frog rod, smoke 150, chronarch e7 with 7'3 *** for T rigging 6'8 sellus for topwater hardbaits, quatium tour, h20 inshore with revo stx. Not whole collection
  15. Haven't had luck with grass pig but the subwoofer and jerk are good havoc baits
  16. that's what im saying lol
  17. don't have the cranking model but daiwa is a great rod
  18. seen a few sellers selling them, very high end looking, a few are indicial specs of the stradic ci4. not sure were stradic is being made but these "rip offs: were from sequol SK. probably the same deal as Nike and off brand shoes being made in same factory but one has a check on them,
  19. haha that was good. lol
  20. 4 grand on fishing, what you selling, lol na about 500 a year.
  21. Walked into bod today to mess with some chornarchs. Left 309.00 lighter. Those rib snakes are killer shaky head worms, robo worms too, And gf got some tax free clothes. Took my *** rod back to gander. In my shimano family thread someone posted pic of there omens and right above reel seat it says *** etc. mine didn't. Took it back and most of there stock the writing had chipped off. Finally found one that didn't. So got a new rod a swell, and some squirrel tails
  22. DANG!!!! they look nice, will probably get the 200 size though
  23. thanks for all the replies, I am making the trip to bass pro tomorrow and will look at 50 and the 200, does smaller size in the reel mean smaller spool size, sorry but never really paid attention to the reels I have now, all just have the normal 125 yds of 12 lb. except my smoke 150.
  24. I assume it would work, maybe a 3000 or 4000 size.
  25. thank you, I get so facinated by stuff like that, idk why, but do.
