  1. yea, even through the cussing and fussin in knee high mud, lol I looked at my bro and said if it is that deep in the woods, it may have some nice untouched fish in there; because even the easy way is hardcore deliverance type in the woods stuff.

oh wow, i was just gettig up when i posted sorry for mis-spelling. I do a 5 count when it hits water, 3 chugs stop then 3 more, on the bigger chuggers i do a odd walk the dog, it almost makes go sub under the water a bit,
  3. dear lord, SO after a wild goose choose to this hidden honey hole pond, we were in the middle of no were, no reciption we got stuck in the mud forever and by the grace of the good lord and some dangerous descions we got out, covered in mud we finally saw the pond, and the EASY way to get in and out, thank you old google maps. Itchy and covered in mud. We decided that we would return when we were moderanlty clean... but looks promising.

Chug the stop. Softies on the bigger ones, I is a walk the dog type motion
  5. In my bag, I carry a large Plano crank bait box. A medium crab bait box and use that one fo frogs. Then I carry a normal 3700 for all top water. And in that one a put the essential spinner/buzz baits needed. Then on the tm2 big side pockets. I carry the FTO terminal tackle box and my jig box. The one that has the flipping up compartments
  6. i bit big, but a bps coangler bag is perfect for shore fishing and me, room for 5x 3700s and tons of pockets etc.. though mine is loaded, I use it boat and shore, great bag
  7. hey studied weather, ok, today was 90, next 2 days will be low 80s, so tech would tomorrow be the day the cold front is comming throw
  8. alright i shall, been forever since i been out, yea i knew about blue bird skies and being bad for them, jus never put 2 and 2 together.
  9. a heck of a storm, for like 20 minutes, so I was always hard at coldfronts and telling them, I mean it go a bit cooler here for about 30 mins and then back to muggy 90 some degrees, wind blew those 30 mins as welll. Also sorry to sound like a dumb@sss. but what does If the cold front came through you can throw whatever you want and don't be concerned about not getting a bite I assume that means that they will be turned off. dangit, only good weekend I have with nothing to do for a while>
  10. All i know is there is bass, cats and bluegills. one pond does have a peer, but the other are just your random ponds. They are located on the properaty of an old asylum, so i doubt the get much traffic, seen a pic, has stumps, your everyday laydowns but dont know how the avaliblility to get to these are. since a fair amount of walking will be done, I am thinking 4 rods, casting T-rig and throwing jigs., of course my frog rod, a shakey head/senko. my forth rod not sure, will be going around 5 in evening. would a spinner bait or swim jog work. my pitchin stick. a Medium rod for flukes.. any help

when i have streaks like that, Idc about about buying extras, lol but after I a while it sucks having to keep buying them. last year I was wacking them like crazy, ripping my GY senkos to crap, so i got some gander brand, boiled them to make em soft just like GY, still worked
  12. yea casting jigs, is a 6'9 though pitchen/flipping i have a ballistic 7'3 and 8' rod
  13. nice reel, I get goosebumps from the fact that you have a 500 buck reel lieing on the ground lmao jk
  14. thats a steep moutain, outside of a few times, I do not do finesse, when i throw small pond magic spinnerbaits and small stuff, small grubs beetle spins, a bps extreme is great for light lures. If I had alot of dough id buy one but on on froum i used to be on there was a long ass fight of over people Over compensating by buying stuff like that. I laughed so hard. sorry to go OT but as said if you can afford it go ahead. you know it isnt gonna make ya kvd, so its all good, they do look sexy
  15. thanks, and for rod recomendations, no offense i want something kinda cheap, thats why i was thinking of the house brand ethos rod,
  16. thanks guys, for help, I believe i am gonna pick it up, last few outing on a boat, I been using a spook around docks, nothing to bad.
  17. Believe it is s MH, yea my frog is a HXF Though I had a old medium rod that cold do 3/4 and one of my old bps enigma rods could do 1 ounce for a MH
  18. I sold my orginal setup up like a dummy in winter. I was looking at the ethos inshore among a few other rods, not trying to cheap out but trying to get somewhat cheap< as topwater frogs has became my fav. This rod will be for topwater plugs. IS 5/8 oz good max weight for this rod. all it will see is pop-rs, sammy, spooks, and the kvd water dogs. Looking at my baits, none feel heavy. If i remember correctly I thin the kvd water dogs are heaviest at 1/2oz/ So would the 5/8 be descent power.
  19. haha someone is searchin froggin, lol my answer is a year old, Now I am using a custom frog rod 7'2 HXF, lord it is a the caddy of all frog rods, got the avid grip, I need to take a pic,
  20. they all work. I love, spro, koppers, kvd, padcrasher and I love Iobee, gill color. 7'2 HXF custom made rode, quantium smoke 7;3.1 with 65 PP. that rod is always with me when i am near water
  21. Codes are awful, had one break on me. I use a 7:3.1 krios for my topwater rod, great little reel for the money
  22. when i skip a frog back under some over hang, i walk the heck out of it, knowing only 3 out of 5 of my skips go perfect on a baitcaster, so I want to keep that frog in strike zone forever, if i am on a pond with pad, just thump it across till i find a opening then i walk it. gotta be versitile.
  23. ATM I am using the 6'8 sellus rod for swimjigs and spinnerbaits. Work perfect for up to 1/2 oz

deff. error if you arent hurdling the frogs a mile, I can even get those tiny frogs to zoom for me. NOW my first frog rod was a literally a XH broomstick, no joke it truely felt like i had line tied to a broom handle. I got somewhat far but not much. I now use a custom made HXF. what is your setup
