  1. I feel like i just answered this in another thread. lol its all good, I like them and the all prduce, depends on what you are catching in the pond, booyah has just released the smaller padcrasher, so they may be good for smaller fish, but i fish them all,
  2. cant pick on one, well maybe koppers and spro all the way, but iobee gill is a beast, IMO, but color seems least factor to me, if i skipping frogs far back , sometimes i use the halloween orange spro just so i can see it, still works just aswell as green. BUT this one pond I go to, only a yellow padcrasher will work. I used to think color of frogs was all bs, but idk anymore. I feel smack dab on the middle of the fence
  3. alright thanks guys, invix
  4. Usually just try a bunch of stuff, but this weekend going with a friend in boat. So I wanna be kinda ready. Got my frogin rod, pitching stick with creature, 6'8 mf fluking setup. Have my T-C rig rod. Tore on 5th rod. Are swim jig and spinnerbaits effective on laydowns in summer. I been watchIn vids and reading articles, says they are not as effective during summer. What's your view on that. Will be fishing stained water aswell. So any tips, critiques on what to use. I know you can't tell me what will cach them. Just don't get to go fishing from boat often and want to make it somewhat productive
  5. if your buying a little at a time, a shimano compre 7'2 MHXF is what i use form my T-riggin, i do some lite C-riggin but dont do alot of that, I have it paired with the old Revo. nice setup cost me 200.00. I want to upgrade to a crucial soon.
  6. thats just it, I have the line conditioner but and do try to before ever trip. sometimes i forget, I dont want to forget one day and my line be messed up cause of it.
  7. lol not brand loyal, okuma is nice, but love my shimanos and abus, BUT as said seem to be hit and miss, my 150 smoke and tour burner Pt are my workhorses, they are my pitchin and frog rod. they ge abused... now watch me go out and the d**n things fall apart
  8. um, could go so many way, bps PQ for baitcasting reels, for rod, veritas, academy h20 and maybe st croix mojo bass rod
  9. ok, long ago, I was told this was a no-no, I tried some 10 lb on my setup last summer, it just seemed to spool off when i was casting, you know super loose comming off top of spool, a real hassle. Ok youtubing yesterday and ran across a few vids of Ike and weekend anglers talking about using fluro for spinng, what size and brand do you recommend for a mid size pfluger president. I will be throwing wacky and shakey head; mainly shakey though
  10. best swim jig ever and academy has em 2 bucks,
  11. buzzfrog replied to Todd2's topic in Fishing Tackle
take it without any other rods, thats how i gained the confidence on frogs and pitchin, lol for a week i too frog rod and big flippin stick with me only
  12. yall sold me, got some old mosters, maybe running them threw a fewe submerged trees will help.
  13. may have been that batch... seems like the last time my gander had triline on sale, i got some 14 mono and it sucked, this tuff line came from there aswell. anyway it wont happend again suffix or PP.. i have complete faith in
  14. at academy, they are 2 bucks.. my favorite cheap bait the pitboss
  15. both of your posts have sounded negative Tom, did I tick you off or somthing. I am a collge student, so if somthing is a quarter off, it is major to me
  16. if you need more do a serch.. lol this is the year forg, everybody talking about it, lol
  17. sheer bordom.. lol i went to academy, they had a major sell on PP, got me a 150 yd spool for 10.00, so that it was..
  18. Well I just got inside, was outside messing around, with some old bps hooks and some crappy gander worms I went to the back of our property and got hung on purpose. Twice the line just broke midway in air,not even at the hook. I loosed up and in the dip mid-air is we're it seemed to break. You know how you give slack then tighten back. Broke midway everytime. Hope that makes since. Bet the neighbors thought I was crazy. 15 lb 832 all the way
  19. i know it aint that tough, but i never had this with the 15 PP, i get that it is low lb test.. just it is odd i have been loosing that much
  20. OR both. lol so i bought me some Tuff line 20 lb baid. descent price and made in USA. My first question is does 20 lb break super easy. i occasionly cast into a limb, nothing hardcore i give a lite tug, then a small jerk, line breaks, went through a pack of owners kept loosing them to breakoffs.. First off not a newb so i know my plamer knot isnt failing, i tied it the same knot for my frog and my cranking rod, hang-ups, no problems, get em loose. 2nd checked with a q-tip... fine no problem. my orginal line on this rod was 15 Ppro braid. it was steel, if was hung bad, it was me cutting the line. I am pretty sure it is the line.. what is your opnion on Tuff line, think I am gonna get some 832 line. Also not trying to be a smart@ss, but i do know the proper way on gettin un-hung, though i may not practice it al the time.. but after a whole pack of owners, sheesh ps.. on a 30 size reel what is the highest braid i could get away. 30 or 40 lb.
  21. shimano compre or clarus MHXF 7'2 great rod for sparce cover and open water, H rod for heavy crap
  22. Practice, seems your doing it, the above vids should help. 90% I do it like a pro but sometimes I just screw up, it flys like a kite lol... Practice practice
  23. D-bomb, great bait..
