Several ponds have opened up down my way. Put a rod and a few baits in my car till I can get my boat into the bigger lakes.

I have used my stern light. It is not as tall as I would like but works for me.

Anyone been on or by Canobie in the last couple of days? Drove by on Tue and it looked pretty grey. Wondering how much ice is there. Going by Mendums today to see how it looks.

Like where? I work in Manchester and haven't seen any open water.

I have used it for a couple of years now on my Android and love it. When i'm in my dads boat or my little row boat with no finder it is a cheap alternative.

Just checked with some guys on Alton Bay and they drilled through 27" of ice this morning!! Not looking good for us up on the big lake.

That Live Target craw is the same color and size I use with good success. As the new color and model came out I found myself buying up all the old ones I could find even at the more expensive places. So now I have a pretty good supply. But now my downfall is the Rage craw and jigs. Thanks Shane. So now when I go to Bass Pro or anywhere I find myself picking up several bags of Rage craws and jig heads and skirts........

I'm with Phauren, never fished deep because I don't know how..... I do want to learn and try drop shot this year. Maybe someone could show me this year if the ice ever goes out!

I'm thinking it would sit to low in the water if you tried to fish shallow. I also agree that the front deck would be no fun to fish from for any length of time.

I have a few friends that have them and love them. I am asking "Santa" as well. I wanted the silver edition for the higher resolution but the lower one looks good from seeing my friends.

Has anyone put it in the water to see the fish they just caught or to see what the bottom of the lake looks like?

I bought a Quantum Smoke reel and a G loomis rod for my crankbait set up. The reel is a 5.2 and works really well for me. Being new to using a baitcaster I find it is the easiest to setup and use. I have a Shimano Curado that is a 7.1 that I use for flipping.

How does one fish that thing? Is it just a slow retrieve or burn it back?? Looks like it might work pretty well on lakes that have trout.

I'm not sure I would like this. I hope its not true!

Went out with the girlfriend today and had a good day. She caught 5 with these being the best 2.

Thats great. Taking my girlfriend out tomorrow to see if she can land her first. Lets hope she can out last the cold? Should be interesting.

I spent the morning on the water and had a great morning catching over 15 fish, a few smallies and rest were large mouth. Most came on a crank bait and a few on a senko. Cold and windy unless in a protected cove. Cold won today after 4hrs. Drove by Northwood and looks like a place I will try next weekend.

Went out this morning and caught a bunch before I froze. This one is the biggest I have ever pulled out of this pond. 18" Biggest I have caught has been 17". Caught on a green pumpkin senko.

There is a dam on the far end off of Mendums landing road not to far off of 4 that you could park on the side of the road and carry in. It is right in the middle of a left hand corner. Other than that I'm not sure. I was out on the 1st and UNH was open about 3 for sailing.

What time are you going? I will be on Mendums around 2pm.
