I have a Berkley cherrywood, and for a very low end rod i am very happy with it. Has anyone used one of these? Maybe even just picked one up and looked at it in the store? Any feedback would be great, i dont have a Cabelas near by and BPS does not sell them.

Well I've never done it and thats why I wanna try. Right now my largest rod is a 7' MH bait caster and a spinning rod of the same action. Should I just try these? I want to try and fish both Muskie and sturgeon. I mean, I guess if you play the drag right, right.? I know my best friend has always grown up with fishing smallmouth with ultralight rods and reels, they are 4 plus pounds and they only use ultralights.

Im looking to get a trolling rod and reel so i can fish for muskie, sturgeon, and other big fish. Im looking to spend under 100 dollars, ideas? Should i get a baitcast reel in the trolling style so i can use it inshore too? Ideas, HELP! Thanks, Christian

I am looking for an inexpensive Ultra Light setup for little Rock Bass and Perch, but when reading reviews online, many people say they have snapped them. But, could these just be situations where the person did not know what they were doing and did not have the drag set right, or something like that? also, suggestions, im thinking around 30 dollars.

Alright, so im sure everyone has their lucky lure, the one lure you use when your at a new spot, don't know what to use, but you seem to catch a fish anywhere you go with this thing. Mine is my Bill Dance popper, blue top, yellow bottom, it rattles and all. Catch a fish where ever i go with it, but let me get to my point. While watching a fishing show with Bill Dance on it, i saw he was promoting the Yumbrella double up, with booya shaky heads and money minnows. I bought it out of curiosity and thought it might work, anyone else use any of these And by the way, whats your lucky lure?

Where to start... Well it had just stopped pouring and the sun came out, so i strapped my two rods to the four wheeler, that was all i had, and hit the trails. i was going nice and slow, no splashing puddles, just taking my time getting to the lake. Some A-hole drove throught the trail which is all dirt and muddy doing about thirty drenching me and my gear, i instantly went home. My shimano made it out fine, which makes me think its made better. But my president on the other hand, not so good. Took it all the way apart, put it back together after i cleaned it out, i didnt have much lube so it isnt lubed up well, but it reels pretty smooth. The bail is very rough though, and isnt working well. Any ideas on what to do? The pains all scratched and ruined too. Anywhere i can take it to get tuned and cleaned up for a cheap price? or do it myself. thanks.

Im making a trip out to bass pro today! Unfortunately its because i snapped the tip of my fly rod while casting, how? i dont know. But it was a cheap rod for me to learn on and it did its job, so should i just take the money for the rod instead of keeping the new one, and then upgrade? And for all you fly fisherman out there, do you just use bulk mono to make leaders?

Hey guys sorry! I was up north turkey hunting, which didnt go well, the coyotes got most of the population. And okay something has changed, i snapped my 5 weight while casting, it was a cheaper rod though and just had to get me through the learning process. I now need 2 new setups, im thinking 5wt and 8wt, but i can change my mind with suggestions, but 400 dollar limit, two rods, give me some info haha. Id spend more but i have to save some money for my lady.

Are you using a redington reel?

How do both handle? how fast is the action?

And what redington are you guys fishing? I.e. model, length, weight.
