I have Chronarch 200E6.. and Curado 200G7 and like them , If I go with another casting setup ...well would like to try maybe Abu Revo SX ..and rod would be MH F Avid....unless you have better idea...read that G Lommis GL2, GL3 and IMX are not that much above Avid series.....but GLX is different story.That why I'm confused..maybe just buy the GLX Spinning and pair it with Sahara for now...or GLX casting and pair it with Curado/Chronarch from Fenwick (then Fenwick goes to the closet until I buy reel for it)

Didn't consider spinning reel upgrade....but just read about CI4 ...and like it v. much....but Sahara is pretty good and it's for free ...cause I'm already own it

I did read some posts about GL2....a lot people didnt like it enough to keep it for longer period of time....even said that GL2 line is not worth the money, suggested St Croix Avid series instead. Ardent ..well i'm pretty much new to fishing and will stick with more popular brands like shimano , Abu G.....but in the future ...who knows. Thank you for replay.

Hi! Recently bought: St. Croix Medium Fast + Chronarch Fenwick Medium Heavy /Moderate Fast + Curado I have 2 cheap (medium Daiwa Tierra + Heavy medium Shimano Convergence) spinning rods with Shimano Sahara and Shimano Spirex. have some money still in my pocket , and can't decide what to buy: Options: 1) High- end (400$ budget) spinning Heavy Medium Rod to replace one of my cheap rods. 2) St.Croix Medium-Heavy Fast action Casting rod + some good casting reel. I don't own a boat , but during summer do campings ( a lot) and renting a paddle boat + some 1 day trips for shore fishing. For now I fish pike/ bass/ will try walleye this year. What would you buy? Any other option in mind?

Thank you for replay. Will do some pike and walleye fishing as well. I'm new to fishing , started last year (spinning rod and float +live bait), will do some fishing between end of May and September...then again break until next summer. 100 yards...probably don't need, just spool it because read that ''more line - longer casts'' (but not too much line)...and I'm not sure maybe I spooled only 90 yards (little less then 1/4'' form edge of the spool).Another reason to spool that much is birds nest, I practiced a few times ...all together maybe 8 hrs, on 2 reels Chronarch+Avid Medium and Curado + Fenwick MH...with cheap 17 lb mono line...got only 1 bad bird nest (had to cut some line)....and a few small one that I could go away with ''thumb trick'' could cast - around 30 yards with 3/8 oz with not much of a problem to target around 3x3 feet (no wind) , but you never know.I don't wanna be short with line on the lake some day ") Thank you , next time will do little less

Just spooled my new Curado 200G7 with Power Pro 50lb. The spool has the 150 yards, I put around 100 yards on my reel, what to do with rest of it? Garbage? What you guys do with it? I have fluro leftovers from spooling my other reels (spinning) and that I can use for leaders, But braid I will use 1st time...and have no idea how I can use it. Thank you.

Bought last year ( Sahara 1000)....as my first reel..I like it no problems with it.

My sets: St.Croix Avid Medium/ Fast 7' and Chronarch 6.4:1 Fenwick Medium Heavy / Mod. Fast and Curado 7.1 I'm noob without boat, fishing for pike and Smallmouth between May-Sept. Which Line for which rod should I buy? Please help Will use spinnerbaits, cranks, jigs.and will like to try some t-rigs. Thank you.

I have 6'10''Fenwick MH Fast Smallmouth ( didnt use it yet) with curado G series....and I'm looking for spinnibg ''do all rod''..some float fishing, some worms......as I said with spinning reel.

I read in some post....that St. Croic is overpowered...is this true about Avid series? Looking for HM Fast rod.....should I go with Medium if St.Croix? Now is St.Croix Avid vs Shimano Crucial. Talking about spinning rods. Thank you.

Any opinions..? Why I got impression that people don't like it (on BPS users reviews is only 4.2)....I know it is not like E series....but it's cheaper isn't still pretty good reel? Returned JM signature series....and got the Curado 200G7....was close to buy Chronarch...but salesman convinced me to buy the Curado.....geez now I'm thinking that should get the Chronarch. ...lol another reason that I took Curado over Chronarch is the green color of my rod (Fenwick Smallmouth)....that's my 1st baitcasting set.

Thank you. Was near BP store and bought JM signature 6.4-1 .....still in the box....I'm not decided ye t- keep it or not...too many bad opinions (durability issues).

I'm pretty much a newbie in fishing field....so how to know which baitcasting reel is good for a light or heavy baits? Bought Jimmy Morris Signature (6.4-1)as my 1st baitcasting reel (still in the box)...and have a little concern , can I use it for light spinnerbaits or plastic worms? If not how to know which reel is designed for it? I really thinking about exchanging that reel fir different model/brand....noticed to many opinions that JM is not that good (durable) Thank you.
