How do you figure out what size hook to use in comparison to lure size

I just spooled my reel up with new line it's rated for 125 yards of 14lb test I filled it almost all the way to the top of the spool and tied it off to a fence post and started walking out the line to stretch it to my reel so the line doesn't dig in and so it forms to my reel it helps with backlashes.. But when I get to the very end of my spool it's only about 60-75 yards of line do the manufactures of these reels actually test how much line they really hold or do they just guess I'm using Cajun red 14 pound test it's a little thinner than most others rated at the same test anybody else notice this with your reels

I haven't seen the clip yet but coming in second 2 years in a row would hurt alot more when u put so much emotion into ur fishing like he does 2nd place is nothin but the first place loser and no professional sportsman strives to be anything other than a champion Iaconelli is one of my favorites I like watching his freakouts which is all the time lol 1lbr-10lbr he freaks out on em all

Does anyone know if they make snake proof chest high waders the only ones I've been able to find on google are snake proof hip waders

I took the survey and the quiz and I only got a pack of 1/0 ewg worm hooks I usually don't use anything that small but hell their free so I'll find something to use it on

I'm looking for a new reel to use braid on so I can use for froggin heavy pads and grass I've only used braid on one of my bass set-ups before and the braid wore a groove in my guide (I don't have this reel anymore) what should I look for when choosing a reel to use braid on

I've fished this creek near my house alot (7-8 times) in the past 5 days and can't catch any bass out of it I've seen people catch some good bass out of it since I started fishing there and I've tried using exactaly what they were down to color and retreive and I still haven't got one any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong or what the problem could be

If u have them to use for bait or u have to catch some an easy way to find em is if the wind is blowing from the north they will be on the south bank and visa versa

I would not use the leader it might be stretching too much to get the hook to penetrate deep enough and without the leader u'll have better feel of the lure

A shakesphere combo from walmart is was $30 it wasn't too bad for a beginner I used it till the gears finally wore out I got some pretty good bass on it and a few 10-15 pound cats

I'll toss a frog almost all year long not just in spring and summer even tho I catch the majority of the fish on a frog during the warmer months I have got a few good ones while the water has been cold

I like the baits I catch alot of big fish on em but I don't like the hooks that come in the package I like the hooks that come in the bass magic ones better

I've had boxes and bags and I prefer the bag I can hold alot more tackle in it and everything is organized just how I like it

6" swim baits, spinnerbaits, and blue and black jigs with a craw trailer

It depends on the water color if the water is real stained I'll use a double Colorado chartreuse and try and bump it on everything I can if the water is more clear I'll use the double willow usually in a white or a chart/white

I tend to change up my retrieve every 2-3 cast one time I'll bounce it the next time I'll drag it then I'll let it sit for a few seconds and pop it and sometimes I'll just reel it straight in I also change up colors all the time but I'll try just about everything in by bag to catch the fish
