  1. Oh if you are looking to upgrade the knobs for the abu handle they are scarce. The abu revo shop has eva in two sizes for 25 bucks which isn't bad considering there are an array of cool daiwa knobs but they usually go for 25 each.
  2. I got a 95 mm aluminum handle from the abu revo shop. It is 30 bucks, uses the knobs that came with the reel. The black matches the SX perfectly...IMO why pay 20 more unless you really like the look of CF then go with the lews. Folks that tell you a weight diff are full of **** and splitting hairs. If you want a longer handle like 100-104 mm then check out hawtech for a CF or hedgehog studio. Most daiwa handles will fit, you can get a sweet studio composite that resemebles the handles on the Abu Beast or an aluminum avail. They also carry the color handle nuts and endcaps.
  3. But winter even with them shutting it down here and there, winter tends treat you better than the dog days of summer would.
  4. X4 or 5 ^^good post I will add in my comparison, owning and fishing the champ versus handling a friends avid with reel mounted. The champion balances better. In my experience St. Croix run more tip heavy (even the LTB) than Dobyns and it only has been handling St. Croix enough of an experience to not consider them ever. I will also add that you can find Champions closer to the price of the other two if you look around. As far as loomis goes, I have yet to really hold one with a reel mounted and respect the reputation it has made. I would probably go IMX instead of GL2 if you went that route. Look for the older IMX you could find them at GL2 prices a few months ago.
  5. Yep that is why Beretta is leaving the once great state due to the gun control measures. MD is so liberal now it is a shame, I used to be proud to say I was from there. Fla will be in the same boat soon enough if crist gets elected.
  6. LOL....Did you hear banjo music??.....I would say first guess it is the guts from a hunters hog kill. Next get is livestock that died. I am surprised a gator hadn't gobbled them up.
  7. There is better info out there than what is found on this site. check your pm.
  8. Great fish! Sounds like u were dailed in
  9. Yeah the brake knob and shape look quantum. But the cast control/spool tension knob doesn't nor is the dual breaking system....the one reel looks like pflueger knobs on the handle and the other daiwa.....Looks like they took what they liked from each manufacturer and Frankenstein'd a reel out LOL
  10. ^^^ Black with yellow beetle spin....also the strike king bitsy minnows, small spinnerbaits and buzz bait. rebel minnows, bandit cranks we also do grubs on a jig head, t-rigged senkos or trick worms too.
  11. Just to be clear. The other side by the warehouse doesn't have any "no fishing" signs I don't fish much past the canal into the the lake you fish due to the signs being posted. Glad to hear the spot produced. It gets hit pretty hard as do most around.
  12. I use a 35 and a 40 they are good....Gotta watch out for those typos 0019 lol
  13. How long yall been fishing there? I found out about a month ago my buddy told me. He got a nice cat and some bass. I went once but man that is too public for me, people all around. I hear it is hot though all the folks are starting to hit it. lol

summer when it is hot or when they aren't chasing the burning back to you. You can also slow roll it by and through beds.

I do that too...also low and slow, stop and start or let it sit in grass and pop it out. sometimes add a few twitches here and there to flare the skirt.
  17. I bet this is the problem.
  18. The blue tour were good, so were the chameleon schemed energy. That was about the time the gold accurist you spoke of came out. I have a following energy model that is pretty solid so far it is very similar to the smoke. I agree there cheap stuff is garbage. gotta keep it about $150. I also agree that a good reel price point for any brand is around 200. Have you seen or fished the new Quantum Tour MG? Just wondering if you had thoughts on this... magnesium under $300.
  19. VW Audi Group is the company that owns Porsche and Lamborghini. They also own Bentley, skoda and a few more manufacturers. VW and Porsche were both started by the same guy think the rest were aquired. Audis depending on model share technologies with either a Porsche (A8 & Panamera) or VW (A3 and Golf)
  20. I agree man, the advanced A game I saw last week was proof.
  21. Here you go Fly some of your favorite player lol....Man what a dick.Yall think manny muchado is an ******* this kid takes the cake. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/bryce-harper-puts-washington-nationals-manager-matt-williams-in-tough-position-070214 But in his defense span doesn't belong starting and hasn't for the last 3 years.
  22. And Audi has heavily influenced Lambo design. Suspension and breaking systems greatly improved.
