  1. I wouldn't suggest booyah to anyone just for personal reasons. I bought 2 spinnerbaits and after the 2nd cast with the first one, the skirt was gone.. the second one got a big crack in the head when I was casting to a rock. This was last year. I haven't bought any since. Waste of money, complete garbage.
  2. I'd go back and try again. Some days at my resevour I get no bites at all and other days they hit like crazy. If you have a little boat like a jon boat or something that'll help too.
  3. What were the water and weather conditions? How big is the pond?
  4. That's awesome, good luck!

I first was hooked on the Rapala Original Minnow, the brown speckle and purple speckle. My dad bought one of these Shallow Shad Raps and it worked way better and just haven't really used anything else.
  8. It might be Black Shiner. They have the same thing for their Torpedos but not sure if the bottom is the same color.

  10. Awesome fish, wish they had them where I fish. Did you buy the silent or rattling square bill?

Because the bass here like to hit top water. I throw it, usually they will hit it instantly, if not, a few twitches and they will hit it.Some days when they aren't biting top water I will just cast and reel to get hits. It is my go-to bait, so I get a lot of hits by top water with it. Just because it's a crankbait doesn't mean fish won't slam it when it hits the water or get a few twitches in.
  12. This might be what's happening. I've never had to wetten the knots but I'll try it out.
  13. Same line? I've been using more heavier (3/8) than what I normally use and it always gets off (2 times already) when I'm casting hard on accident (trying to get to a specific spot with my 6ft ugly stik and spinning reel)I was watching Knot Wars on youtube and this knot beat the rest..
  14. I use Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6
  15. I've been using the palomar knot for awhile now but more recently I've been losing baits and it seems like the knot actually comes loose (the line is all curly at the end) now my question is, is there a recommended length for keeping on while cutting the remaining line? I probably tend to cut it too short but not sure.

Rapala? Shallow Shad Rap color Shad is the only top water I really use right now. It gets quantity but the biggest we've caught would be around a 2.5lb on it. We have probably around 10 of these lures in the tacklebox, half still in the case.
  17. Wish it had better sound quality...
  18. pumplinseed !
  19. Do you use the silent or rattling square bill? I have the Sexy Shad and Blue Gill Silent 2.5's but haven't used them yet.
  20. Good video but I dunno, his was about 90x worse than that, and about 75% of his line was really loose on the reel.. and he was using a 2" or so minnow.
  21. try a net.. it won't be a legal catch but it's a catch lol
  22. So I put new 12lb line on my brother's baitcast and had it set up for a swimbait and he put a dinky topwater on it and casted 2 feet and basically have to respool the reel with new line! although it's quite funny watching him try to cast far and it only goes 2 ft, only brought 2 poles and he didn't want to go back to get another so he started cutting line out of the reel and finally got it cleared but lost a lot of line, told him to put a senko on set the tension and finally got some good casts
  23. My Old Tacklebox Where I Store Line Where I Store Rods (4 of my main rods are on the boat)
