Medium is too light huh?

I've never done much jig fishing, going to give it a try later this month. Planning on using a 3/8 jig with trailer. I've been a spinning gear guy all my life and don't want to invest in a Baitcasting set up. Any thoughts? Everything I have read suggests using a Baitcasting set up for jigs.

Hey gang. Just wondering what the current bass spawning situation is in WI. Everything I am reading says that patterns are a few weeks ahead of schedule. I'll be in northern WI at the end of the month, starting to plan of post spawn patterns. Thoughts?

How do you guys feel about applying a line conditioner while spooling braid? I've read it helps with casting distance and improves the overall performance of the line. Think it's necessary?

If you are fishing in stained water is a mono/flouro leader needed? Guessing the leader is to make it less visible to the fish?

Going to spool my spinning rig with Power Pro braid, wonder what pound test I should go with? I will be bass fishing on a stained lake.....top water, spinnerbaits, jig, Texas rigs. I've read several places about not going less than 30 lb because the line will bury on the spool during hook set and fighting. Thought?
