  1. This is the perfect thread for me to share my tricks i use on our 5 acre pond. Its relatively shallow in the location these were caught, not surprising considering they have been post-spawn for quite some time. Im taking advantage while I can. I rig up a 1/0 hook with a zoom 4" junebug, or green, or red, weedless rig it, then just use one split shot(or 2) about 6-12"(depending on depth, and technique) work it kind of texas/carolina style. At the current time, im having to let it sit right in front of these hogs for them to bite. Just wiggle it and hang on:) Hopethis helps. this is a 5.5' ultralight rod, 5+ pound fish, 20" Was a hell of a fight! Ive had quite a few breaks, but I just love my ultralight. Its great when the crappie are biting. A couple others. same fish I estimate 3+pounds onthis one
  2. Well now after looking at Mann's catalog it looks like im looking for the "hard-nosed finnesse", just a shorter version. But i will take some 6inchers as well for the lunkers:) just ordered some 5" ones, thanks for the help guys
  3. WOW! Will you go through 3500 dollars worth of soft plastics in your lifetime?? Thanks for the help guys. I will look at Mann's
  4. Or at least something like it. Its basically a soft 3.75" fluke-type worm. It is sparkled, and is an opaque white color (pics below), but I got them in a "bass kit" from walmart a number of years ago. They no longer sell them. They fit perfect on a 2/0 hook and kill on bass. I split shot it about 6-9" up from the hook, and let it trail freely. The tail wiggles perfectly when using a jerkbait action. Its also effective on your typical texas style or carolina rig. Any help would be appreciated:)
