Here are this past weeks standings: 1 . Rovingmutt 102" 2. Fstr 101" 3. Tightlines 98" 4. AK 95" 5. LMG 94" 6. Jaxbasser 91.75" 7. Martin 89.50" 8. Cutlerjay 83.50" 9. Fishingator 70" 10. Dynomyte 57" As you can all see, it's still anyone's competition. Everyone in the top 5 still have smaller fish to cull, which can be a game changer. Great job, for everyone participating. Even if you did not make the top 10, there was movement in the bottom 10 category. We have officially 10 more days of competition, to see if there is a new "King/Queen of the hill, or if the defending champ can pull off a come from behind victory. Stay tuned.....

I love frogging. Some areas are too good to pass up, but unfortunately, no matter how pretty it looks, frogs are not always on the menu. Today for example, bait fish was on the menu. The place we were at was full of bait. So we had to adjust and target the schooling bass.

Dobyns Savvy Vs. Jm Carbonlite Spinning
I have the carbonlite spinner, never had experience with the Dobyns, but just like their b/c counter part, the spinner CL is nice. Very sensitive, light weight, and stronger than it looks. For $50 jump on it, that's a great deal.

Guests, Readers Only???
I am with bluebasser, I will discuss on the forum general areas, but specific locations, nope. I will privately, discuss locations with members that I have known for a while, but a spot hunter, I develop my own case of lock jaw.

Jumping Fish
Jumping fish can be tricky sometimes. For example, when I am in my boat and I have nice bass that decides to jump, I actually shove my rod into the water. The bass will attempt to jump, but I take the slack out, and it just becomes a slow headshake. On the bank however depending on the type of cover you are dealing with your technique must change. For example, little to no cover I keep the rod pointing down to minimize the jumping as best as possible. If you are fishing around moderate to heavy cover, I actually exaggerate and raise my rod up to where the my reel is at shoulder level, so that I may pull the bass over the cover quickly. If you give the fish the upperhand in this situation, it will dig into the vegetation and you might lose it.
