  1. That's cool. A nice family outing on a nice day.
  2. Yeah MCS was telling me you guys were up in the 40's the other night. That's crazy. We get that maybe once or twice a year down here. LOL.
  3. Flipping and pitching is an area that I am lacking in. However, after seeing the latest videos of that technique on my own local waters its a technique that I will focus on this upcoming year.
  4. I could only imagine what that kind of rain that must feel like. Fortunately, in South FL, we get the occasional cold, but not the vicious cold that you need insulated rain gear. I can't help the OP in that dept.
  5. Also, you saw the video Rad07 put up. Those fish looked awesome too and they came from South FL. Its too bad no one from our immediate group caught those fish but none the less they were caught down here.
  6. All in do time. When the North is frozen over or too cold to fish, our big girls come out to play.
  7. The topic has come up before but its been a while. For me, and for the $$, frog togs. Lightweight, breathable, comes in its own carry bag. I like it. Have had one for years.
  8. Mainebass has put some very impressive numbers. If we include our top 5 fish of our top 10 group it will compare very closely to his top 5. He is fishing in a great fishery that's for sure. BTW those fish are not from Maine, they were caught in Vermont.. LOL. Do not jump ship yet AK, our fishing down here has not remotely started to warm up yet. Wait until you see the catches coming up in the next few months.
  9. Actually, the part of the state they are from, I will let there avatar pic description take care of that. Duh!!!
  10. MCS, gave me a new idea for next month. I will include a list of all the participants after the 5 day sign-up period. That way we all know who is in the contest . I have in the past told all of you how many participants we have but never who the participants are. I will include the participants names and what part of the state they are from. That way we have an idea how the different regions in the state is doing. What do you guys/gal think?
  11. I have had experience with spro's, livetargets, and booyah's. I have found that if these frogs are taking on water after 2-3 casts, something minute has happened to them. Either the hooks have punctured the frog, or there is a tear by the nose. A new frog out of the box should not be taking on water unless a fish has struck it.
  12. Gator, your lucky. I would have had a heart attack if I left my favorite setup somewhere. Luckily you found it where you left it. Next time do rod counts before you leave. LOL.
  13. Your right gator, there has never been team fishing. However, since Martin says this competition will never end, we have to do things to spice things up in the future.
  14. Your statement is true Wayne, but I believe the OP, is commenting that his Spro is taking in water, while no fish has even touched it.
  15. That would be interesting though. Would you guys be competing against each other or as a team.... Hmmmmm????
  16. Jellyman, will you be joining us in next month's competition? We enjoy your posts, comments, and video's. Throw your name in the hat next month, we start a new tourney this Friday.
  17. I guess we have a new contestant for November.. LOL..
  18. Nice Zach. You and Fishingator are tied at 73.50 a piece.
  19. I just got back in from my trip and I am exhausted. Don't worry I am no where close to being a threat in the contest. LOL. We did have a lot of fun. We boated 60 fish. No big ones to brag about. Yes, it was windy, but the day was beautiful. Low 80's partly cloudy. The glades looked normal for this time of year. Water was a little higher than normal but better than what I was expecting. We went through a lot of plastics, but the frog fishing was non-existent. There is a healthy population of fish that's for sure. My casting arm is dead, so I probably will not fish for a couple days and rest up.
  20. Can't help you there buddy. However watching video's of the snakehead round ups, they use little aluminum clubbing bats. Two good hits on their heads and I don't see them moving after that.
  21. If its that bad Martin you may have a problem on your hands. Those fry have to eat something.
  22. I was about to call you because it didn't look like my brother in law was not going to be able to go, but somehow he made it happen. I didn't want to get your hopes up to then reschedule. I meant what I said about going out soon. Let's see how the fishing is tomorrow.
  23. With two fish that big I do not feel sorry for you. Just messing with you. Those were beauties. I don't know how you are doing what your doing with the surgery you had done.
  24. I am going out on the alley. A good buddy of mine went out last weekend and surprisingly put up some good numbers. His time was limited and he left with the fish still biting.
