  1. Nice weekend guys. There were several nice caught fish, this weekend. I think this has been one of our strongest starts ever. There is going to be a lot of impressive catches this month.
  2. I caught my 5th today. I went out to, two lakes out in Miramar, from 3:30-5:30pm. I caught this 18" right before I was about to leave. I caught this one using a u-vibe worm WM seed buzzing on top. I was using the outfit with 30lbPP, using a 3/0 Gami EWG, no weight. Winds were 15-20MPH from the NE. I buzzed the worm thru a lily pad and grass field. 18"
  3. Fstr and AK, I documented each of your catches.
  4. Nice Mutt, I documented your catches. You just passed Jaxbasser by 1.5". You are leading this thing so far buddy. Good job. Remember I will post standings tomorrow sometime.
  5. You know there is no age limit for our Tourney. Who knows, he may be our first kid participant. LOL. Nice incentive btw.
  6. Hey, I thought that only happens to me...... LOL. I love it when its a wolf pack of 3-5lb fish and seems like they simultaneously turn to their sides so that I can get a clear view of their girths.
  7. But when you do, you usually pull in some nice stuff. The areas you fish have some nice bass.
  8. Welcome aboard Navybassfisherman. If you have any questions just ask. Good luck this month.
  9. Thanks for letting me pick your brain Mouldie. I like seeing how other anglers use the frog. Good luck this month.
  10. Thanks Mouldie, I will keep that in mind. I find it hard to believe that frog is always on the menu. Are you telling me every outing you take, you connect with frog? What do you use the 10% of the time, and what makes you transition to that 10%?
  11. Mouldie let me get some feedback from you. By just using different frog colors in one outing, you feel that the color changes are illiciting the strikes? You fish 90% frogs throughout the entire year?
  12. What color do they like in Orlando?
  13. Dsidle, you are going to get bombarded with opinions which is great. But I do not recommend you to get a medium rod, since I know you frog fish so much. Think about the MH.
  14. I don't know LMG, it was pretty wide canal and the frog sailed right into the base of sawgrass. That is pretty tough to get out from that distance. Bank to bank. Same thing on my last frog, landed across the canal and it got embedded in a root system that I did not see. My glades set up has 50 PP. But I am on a boat, so I can just go over and simply pull it out.
  15. Good luck finishing up the semester. I do not miss those days. I still have nightmares from graduate school. Pls do not be a stranger.
  16. Great news everybody!!! We are officially at 22 participants!!! I have one more confirmation that I need to see and he will make it 23. Within our 22 participants we have our first enlisted man amongst our ranks. I will let him do his introductions when he logs on. Two days in and we have 22 BR, FL members competing. Unbelievable!!
  17. WTG to go Phil, I got you down.
  18. Now for my catches today. I went out from 430-630 to a West Miami Canal, my brother -in- law found. The first fish I caught was a 19.5" caught on a brown Booyah frog. I was using 30PP. I caught it close to some sawgrass, it struck on the second pop. Then I caught a 15" fish on the same setup and same frog. Same thing, cast by the sawgrass and this one hit on the first pop. Then I lost my frog, in the sawgrass. I have lost 3 brown booyah frogs right out of the box. After that I had a few missed strikes and then the bite shutoff. Wind was 5-10mph from the SW. 19.5" 15"
  19. Glad to see you made it out Mouldie. I got your fish down.
  20. I got your fish FSTR, sorry to hear about your rod.
  21. FishinDaddy welcome aboard. I was curious when you were going to join us.
  22. Shanksmare welcome, I did not forget about you. I have you down. You are #19. Welcome aboard. Some of us have limiting fishing too. We have to do the best that we can.
  23. Nice job Gator, I have your catch down. I am also thinking about getting that ruler, it beats opening and holding the tape measurer.
  24. Thanks Deak, you got me, since I do not interact too much with the NE group, I can't tell who the jokers and the serious ones are yet.
  25. No, actually I am not. I have been born and raised in South Florida, and believe or not I have never seen snow before. I love to learn new things, and I was curious if during the winter all the ponds and lakes froze over in the NE. If so, how far south does this freeze over occur? I apologize if I came off like if I was poking fun of your situation. I know I would be bummed if the tables were turned.
