Got back from the glades a little while ago. A short outing. 6:30am - 11:00. We caught a lot of fish, but don't worry gang, no monsters to report from out there yet. We must have caught about 50-60 fish total, but they were dinks. Had a good time, learned some new things, all in all it was a fun day. Come home to rain, and tomorrow is more of the same. I really want to pass the 100" mark. Tick....tick..... tick....

FSTR, you threw a curve ball at me... LOL. I was not surprise, if you did catch a 35lb bag. You go off and fish and we don't here from you for a week and you come back with some nice pics.

Good Luck this weekend everyone. This is our last full weekend before the month is over. Fortunately, the month ends on a Saturday. I am putting out feelers, for next month. Who is interested to keep this going for December??

I just got an invite to go to the glades tomorrow, hopefully the weather cooperates. Yesterday and today, it has been raining a lot. Hopefully some bigger fish have moved in.

LOl... Now I am really confused.... Did he buy a trolling motor or did he actually catch 35lb bag of bass?? If he did, his measurements will leave all of us in the dust.

One particular day stands out for me this year. It happened over the summer. I went to a new location, and frog was on the menu that day. I was at this location for less than one hour and I caught a 4lbr on the first cast. A 3 + lbr shortly after, and 6+ lbr, which is the one on my avatar. I was on a roll to catch some more lunkers, when I was chased out by state troopers. Little did I know that I was not suppose to be fishing there, eventhough there were no signs stating other wise. Oh well....

Fortunately, all my pics are in place.I back up offsite anyways, just in case.

Good luck this weekend everybody. We are at the half way point for the month, from the 28 participants we have this month, 18 participants have posted catches, and 10 have not. Yet! I know the time change and weather changes have affected the fishing this month. Remember.. we have to keep LMG entertained, because he bores easy, so let's have a great weekend and post some catches. I will post either Sunday night or Mon, depending on how many submissions I receive.

Put out roach baits. Like Harris roach tablets. They are small white tablets, that you can lay around in different parts of your boat. When the roach's eat them, bye...bye... roach.

I have been hooked twice pretty good. Once I got both my thumb and index of the same hand hooked with the same treble hook, on a F7 Rapala. My buddy yanked them out, and it hurt pretty good. Last year, I got hooked pretty good on my thumb, same type of rapala too. That one, required an urgent care visit. Needless to say, I leaving those Rapala's alone for a long while. LOL.

This rod is primarily, my frogging rod. I started to pitch with it, and the wrapping was getting ridiculous. So, it will remain frogging rod.

I have the 7 ft 4 inch. H with micro guides. The handle is fine for me. It's the proximity of the guides up at the top of the reel, which braid loves to wrap around while pitching.

I am going with 7lbs 5oz
