Florida Bragging Rights Club (November 2013)
Alright gang, a new month is before us and you all know what that means..... new competition time!!! If you participated last month, or you are new member, or you have been following us now for while and you're just curious. Now is your time to join us. I am proud to say that this will be our 6 month of having this monthly competition. Last month we had 20 participants and we are looking to grow that number. So please, any BR FL member can join. All we ask is that you play fair and have fun while you are with us. The rules are simple. Go bass fishing, and if you deem your fish is worthy to brag about, then all you have to do is measure your fish, take a clear picture of the whole fish confirming the length on a measuring device. For example a ruler, tape measure, etc... The person with the longest 5 bass at the end of the month wins bragging rights. The beauty of this competition, there are no entry fees, no prize money, just pure clean fun for bragging rights. You can fish from the bank, from a boat, from a yak, from canoe anywhere that it is legal to fish. No, the tank at basspro does not count. LOL. Also please make sure your fishing license's are up to date. On a side note we also have big fish honors. That simply means we recognize the angler who has caught the biggest fish in the month. For that recognition you will need a scale and picture confirming the weight of your catch. When you take a pic of your catches you have up to 5 days to post those pictures on our forum. To avoid any misunderstandings on your post, please include the date of the catch. I will take care of the rest and track your catches and progress. I will post daily and weekly standings. A new feature this month, fellow participant and member LMG, has taken upon himself to compile additional information about our catches. For example, the time of day of your catch, the lure or bait you used, the line you were using etc. etc. he will compile that information as a resource for all of us to have. He will post separately and go into more details soon. Lastly, this competition is for fun and to share our experiences for the rest of us can learn from. Any intentional acts to mislead or harm this competition as a joke or otherwise is highly discouraged, and you will be disqualified for those actions. We are participating in a honest, and clean competition. By saying " I am in" you are accepting the guidelines of this competition. If any one has any questions or concerns please PM me at any time. I am here for all of you. Best of the luck everyone, let's have an awesome November!! and with that..... I AM IN!! Lou

Florida Bass Club October (Bragging Rights Thread)
Well, I couldn't wait. I am home alone with candy duty and the house is quiet. I was waiting for last second competitors and it paid off, Dsidle came in a little while ago and jumped up two spots. That's awesome. This month has been one of the most exciting months we have had. We had 20 competitors where 16 posted catches. 7 individuals in our top 10 posted 90" or greater. That's unbelievable. We posted over 1300 conversations and had over 12,700 views from the last time I checked. We motivated another BR member, to spearhead another Bragging Rights thread to start in the state of Alabama. We are all part of something special here. I have been busy today introducing new members to our forum and a few have shown interest on coming on board with us. Great job everybody!! So enough talk. Here are the numbers. Please note, if you happen to post tonight, it's ok. I will correct the list and you will be recognized for your efforts. 1. AK: 22.5" 21" 20.5" 20" 20" = 104" 2. Rovingmutt: 22" 21" 20.5" 20" 18.5" = 102" 3. FSTR: 22" 21.5" 19.5" 19.5" 19" = 101.5" 4. Tightlines Jax: 20" 20" 20" 19.5" 18.5" = 98" 5. LMG: 23" 18" 18" 17.5" 17.5" = 94" 6. JaxBasser: 20.5" 18" 18" 17.75" 17.5" = 91.75" 7. Dsidle: 21" 18" 18" 17" 16" = 90" 8. Martin: 18.5" 18.5" 18" 17.5" 17" = 89.50" 9. CutlerJay: 21" 21" 18.5" 15" 13.5" = 89" 10. ZachD.: 16" 15" 15" 15" 14.5" = 75.50" 10. Bassinlou: 17.5" 16" 14.5" 14" 13.5" = 75.50" There you have it folks. The top 10. Congrats again. Let's have an even better November. I am putting up the new thread tonight!!

Florida Bass Club October (Bragging Rights Thread)
It's amazing to me how big this simple tournament has become. It has spread to several states in the NE, here in FL of course, and now Caylub is working hard to start in Alabama. I volunteered 3 months ago to spearhead, or become a tournament director of sorts of this competition. The responsibility that I took on was to bring better structure and create an existing platform so that everyday anglers like ourselves could have a stage and proudly show off our catches in a friendly/competitive environment. What many do not know is that on a weekly and sometimes daily basis, I intentionally go and speak with new and existing BR members and build up our competition. Many of the existing participants that we have here today know this first hand because I personally reached out to you. You know who you are. Yes AK, there is a reason why I have your quotes up there. You and I had a significant disagreement very early in the month of the tact you were going use. You find it amusing to catch nice fish and purposely not report them to the very end. Here is why I disagree with your tact. All of us know the rules, and what our roles are. All of us catch fish and I will report to everyone on a daily and weekly basis everyone's catches and results so that we have a bearing on how the competition is going. The top 10 have been battling for position for several weeks now. You, being one of them. You posted 20.5" 18.5" 20" 18" 18" all on Oct 11. Now on Oct 31, with hours of the competition being over, you post pics of a 22.5" 21" 20". The 22.5" you claimed yesterday you caught 2 weeks ago!! You have known all along what the standings have been, and today for the sake of fun you post these catches that place you at 104". Don't you think all of us would have liked to have known that?? What was the purpose of taking down everyone's data, so that a veteran player who knows better, comes in and screws it up in the sake of "fun". I call it unsportsmanlike, and dishonest. So I ask the top 9 who have been playing intently these last 4 weeks, is this fair? Withholding information and having us all believe one thing and so that AK has a "gotcha" moment? My rule change is a simple one. Next month if you choose to play, you have 5 days to submit your pics. To avoid any "misunderstandings" As promised I will post the final numbers tomorrow.

I always welcome feedback from everyone. This has always been ours. All I did was mention a simple rule and you are the one that keeps questioning it. Interesting...
