Fishing Trip On The Weekend-South Florida
If you PM him he would be more than happy to introduce himself, and tell you what boat he fishes out of. He is good stick and a heck of a guy. He never hesitates to share with you what has been working for him. I have learned a lot from him.

How Many Rods Do You Carry
I am pretty simple. 6 b/c's on the boat, and 1 b/c on the bank.

How Is The Booyah Pad Crasher Frog
Although they are not my go to frog, padcrashers are pretty good. The price point is hard to pass up.

Sawgrass Recreation Park This Past Weekend
I caught for the very first time 2 snakeheads, in Coral Springs. I fished with another member from this site along the canal that runs North on the West side along the Sawgrass Expy. We parked right off the highway on the West side of Coral Springs Drive. It's same canal system that runs through Markham park heading North. There are alot of snakehead there with plenty of bank available.

How Often Do You Change Braided Line?
I have had power pro on for a looong time on several reels. The only time I change is when, someone has already mentioned, something catastrophic happens with the line.

Florida Guys Check In Here.
Females will need a little time to recuperate, and after that they get their feeding on. They go into their post pawn patterns. With the water temps still down they will wander about. When the season starts transitioning into summer time patterns they slow down and stay out of the sun. You got to look for heavy cover that shades them during the day.

Miami Canal Lures
I use a different spinnerbait colors. What I throw strictly depends on water clarity and time of day. You want specifics, you can always drop me a PM. No I do not add trailers to my spinnerbaits, only trailer hooks if they are hitting short.

Sawgrass Recreation Park This Past Weekend
There are total of 4 ramps on the West side. The first two ramps have been completely re-done by FWC, the third ramp about 6 miles north is fine, and there is another ramp about 6 more miles to the north at the broward palm beach border. This time around I launched at the 4th ramp because I fished the Holeylands first which is 6 miles West of that location. The holeylands was dead on Saturday but US 27 was on fire, despite the reports I was getting from anglers there. I guess no one was throwing frogs, LOL.. I was throwing hollow body frogs.

Costa 580 G Vs Costa 400 G Green Mirror Advice
I have the 580P green mirror lense for freshwater fishing. I have had them for several years now. They are great glasses. Since I wear them 365 days a year, I have had wear issues, all I do is ship them back to Costa and I get nice pair back after a couple weeks.

Miami Canal Lures
Lately, I have been having alot of luck in the canal systems North of your position by using spinnerbaits. You have to vary the speed and depth a bit to see what entices them. Stickworms and flukes will work too. Locate and work cover. During these bright days I like to fish cover the casts long shadows. I nailed a nice 5lbr last weekend by using the same tactics I just explained.

Sawgrass Recreation Park This Past Weekend
I fished across the street to the West side of US 27. They were destroying frogs. Avg weight was 2lbs, a couple of 3's and one 5.5lbr. Needless to say the wind was not blowing as hard on Saturday vs yesterday.

Handle Length For Pitching/flippin?
I really broke in my rod this past Saturday fishing the glades. My LTB is my froggin rod and I landed 25 decent fish on it. the rod performed flawlessly. Great backbone, light, 0 fatigue using for 5 hrs straight.

Handle Length For Pitching/flippin?
I recently picked up a new St. croix, LTB, and purposely got the 7'3" H because of the longer handle. It helps me a lot with leverage and casting.

Interesting Day Frogging...
For frogging I use strictly braid. Anything else I have found has way too much stretch to it. For example, using the cover you were fishing in, if 5+ lb bass would have inhaled your frog, when you stick em with braid you feel the thud of the hook driving home. My experience with anything else, when you set the hook, you feel the stretch of the line. It doesn't mean you can't still land a fish without using braid, but I don't take chances like that when a pig is on the line, with a frog. Frog fishing with a leader... me personally, I would not do. The hooksets on frog is pretty violent, and the chance of that leader snapping on one of those strong hooksets is highly probable. These are just my thoughts on personal experience.

The bass are still bedding. A lot of the catches I had over this past wknd, were spilling eggs.

Just Braid
I have transitioned to mostly braid on all my outfits except one. Depending on what application I use, I will implement a leader. One particular place I fish on is an old limestone lake with very clear water. These fish are extremely line shy, so if I don't use a leader, fishing will be slow that day.

Good For All Around Bank Fishing?
If that combo works for you, go for it. My go to combo is a 7ft Avid with a LEWS Tournament MG, on 30lb PP braid/ with leaders.

Basspro Shops Soft Plastics
BPS stick worms were recommended to me and they have suited me just fine since then.

Fishing With Gators???!!!
Fishinthedacks, can you please elaborate on the red highlighted text. I may learn something new on what you have to say. Yesterday for example, the place I went to fish in the everglades usually has a lot of gators. Fishing was ok, but we only saw a handful of gators, when in the same area last month we saw a lot more.
