  4. ...Sounds like I would be fishing more in the shallow or (lower ) waters and something with a lot of shine and sound ! Or maybe live bait like frog ... hope this helps out since I don't promote a brand name you can check out a lot of the videos and reading material that BR sites have to offer ...and good luck !!

  17. All Dams I have fished have a back swirl any of those back swirls should be fished with live bait like Worms , grass hopper , minnow or whatever others seem to be catching them on (ask around) > If you are going to use a lure I would recommend fishing down from the dam at 100 feet ... if their is not a fish ladder their will be several spawning places were the rocks make a perfect mating grounds ..it is here that your lure will look most offensive or tasty depending on what time of year ...the 1 st Dam on the Missouri river is Toston Dam the Mississippi come's from the Yellowstone and Missouri .. I would not recommend using weight with lure .. maybe others will have their own ideas ??
  18. I have fished Dams in a lot of places and my advice is fish as close to the wall that you can using a 3 way swivel with a flat weight 2 to 4 oz depending on the currant Make sure the weight is free to move ... if their are pillars cast try casting in the middle of pillar with a live bait on...Most dams don't allow fishing on the structure because of people snag them when they jump ..a lot of newer dams do how ever have fish ladders .. hope this helps you a little and good luck fishing ?
