  1. I didn't read the whole thing, for some reason I could only read it in John Wayne's voice and it was quite confusing because of that.
  2. Nobody said it yet so I might as well; We're gonna need a bigger boat.
  3. Listen to Pink Floyd while sleeping, also learn how to put yourself into sleep paralysis.
  4. By cheap I don't mean the "Fishing Line" brand at the flea market (but I have bought a spool of it once) but Stren and Triline, around here those are the cheapest (at 11 bucks for 300yd) and are what I refer to as "cheap line". By the way you sound quite pretentious.
  5. I always buy the cheap stuff because it works simple as that. People will moan and groan all day about Mono. V.S. Fluoro. but besides the microscopic differences they're pretty much the same. Unless you're a pro being sponsored by the company and they want you to use their special line, use the cheap stuff, your wallet will thank you.
  6. Another time I was up at my uncles property in Rose City. It was afternoon and the bite was slow, so I threw out a live blue-gil under a bobber. I was also throwing out a spoon, and the spoon just so happened to snag my other line and cut it. I reached into the water, picked up the line and began to tie it back on. Halfway tying the knot the line was yanked out of my hand and the bobber plunged under. I couldn't grasp the concept of what just happened. a few seconds later I saw the bobber pop back up not too far from the dock I was fishing off. I took off my hat and shirt and dove into the water. After chasing the fish around the lake I finally grabbed the line and pulled him on to shore. T'was about a five pound pike.
  7. I was fishing in a little cut off the Saginaw Bay, and I just missed a fish, figuring that it took my bait I kept reeling in. Then there was a little resistance so I thought that I had a little gill on, ended up catching a nice little pager. Another time I was fishing a little catfish honey hole that I found a few years back. My buddy snagged a stump in the water and couldn't get the hook out, being a good friend I am, I took my Ugly Stick catfish edition with 65lb braid ( nick-named "The Crane" ) and cast right where he was hung up. Sure enough i hooked into the stump, I broke it free and dragged it onto shore, as I pulled out my buddy's hook I saw that there was a another line hooked in the stump and I began to pull on it and felt something on the other end, pulled it up and got a brand new (kind of soggy) Okuma rod and reel.
  8. I went out fishing yesterday out on the bay of Lake Huron and caught another one that makes 2 this year, I also caught a black one O.o
  9. The Gander in saginaw is doing good, they have great prices tons of stock ect. but they're opening a cabelas maybe two blocks down the road
  10. One of my best knives is a PAL RH-36 from the early forty's, but for a carry around pocket knife go with a Buck
  11. meps agela no. 5 green yellow and orange blade, any hot n' tots, and trolling crawler harnesses on bottom works good.
  12. Geez, the way we catch them here in Michigan I'd never of thought they were rare.
  13. No, I make sure not to touch any steel parts on my guns and it was quite dry that day.
  14. Yesterday I was in my garage and decided to check up on my guns (1990s 870 20 gauge and 1983 m69). After making sure that they were doing fine no rust, scratches, ect. I put them back in the aluminum case that I store them in. Today something told me to go back and look at them again. Instantaneously profanities erupted from my mouth due to the shock of seeing the whole side (side facing up when the case is open) of each gun was covered in rust. It literary spawned a large colony of rust over night, It looked they were left out side the whole summer! So my first response was to grab a bottle of 3 in 1 and some rags and just scrub, scrub, scrub. The light coat of rust came off the rifle with ease and no evidence of it ever existing, but the shotgun was left with white "scars" where the worst of the rust was. I have no clue what could have triggered that to happen. I've been storing all my guns that way for 5+ years and rust never formed. Any ideas?
  15. Well Randy (guitarist) ran away with Dio or Ozzy half way through Metal Health so you may have been listening to him all these years.
  16. Some guy on ebay is selling his original QRI (only released in Japan) might have to check it out.
  17. I'm a huge fan of them. Not so much for the new members (R.I.P Kevin and Randy) but still wouldn't mind seeing them live. BTW did you hear the metal health mask sold for only $25,000
  18. Just a quick check to see if there is any QR fans on this site besides me.
  19. There is only two guitarists that I care about Randy Rhodes (Quiet Riot) and Brian May (Queen)
  20. Actually you can drown a fish, its quite simple.
  21. Pike are the widest naturally spread out fish in America (Alaska to some parts of Northern Mexico) they are in every natural lake, pond and river. Chances are that it was a pike, i caught a few that match your description.
  22. .303 Fast, smooth and powerful. shorter than the 30-06 but bigger 'round, use the 180gr FMJ and you could drop a deer no matter where you hit it.
  23. Thanks for all the help, hope i can order soon!
  24. I go juggin up in Rose City, manly using perch. There's no catfish in that lake so the only things that bite are bass and pike.
  25. I'm up in Michigan and we've had the harshest spring ever! Once a week there would be a freeze warning, an 80 degree day (too hot for us yankee boys), rainy day, a nice cool day, then thunderstorms, hail and wind storms every week! But two weekends ago I was fishing lake Huron from the shore during a wind storm, two foot waves 30mph constant wind and a slight drizzle. Yet the bass were going crazy caught <40 in four hours and all nice size! But last week not a d**n thing. It's just better to just keep trying or wait until summer. Best of luck to ya!
