  1. Most of my reels are Abu Garcia Revo's for casting and Shimano for spin casting. Rods are all over, from Fenwick to Phenix to Dobyns. Don't care about colors, just catching fish.
  2. Sunline Supernatural for anything requiring mono. Suffix 832 braid. Not a fan of Flurocarbon but have tried Seaguar in the past.
  3. If you stretch your budget out a bit the Abu Garcia Revo Toro is a great reel. Holds a ton of line. In fact I have two that I use on my musky set ups.
  4. I'm pretty loyal to Zoom Trick Worms and Yamamoto Senkos, however I have started using Roboworms recently with good success.
  5. Im a bonafide Rapala junkie. If i had to pick a favorite it would be the X-rap, closely followed by the DT-Flat series
  6. Strike King Coffee tubes or a 4" Senko, do a lot of damage with both.
  7. I love going after smallies with top water gear - poppers/prop baits/walk the dog baits Small river fishing bucktails can be a blast too.
  8. Pound for Pound a smallie outfights a largemouth everytime in my experience. I like the fight.
  9. Crawfish and rocks.....Smallmouth 101
  10. Shaky Head is a great presentation when things are slow. I have had great luck using Trick Worms or Roboworms. Rigging up a Senko wacky style has also produced well for me when the fish aren't as active.
  11. If you want to spend a little money take a look at Dobyns or Phenix Ultra MBX series. If you want to spend a little less then I would highly recommend the Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth rods.
