  1. VMC - size 0 https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/VMC_Crankbait_Snaps/descpage-VMCCS.html?from=basres&utm_source=automated_email&utm_medium=email&utm_content=order_confirmation
  2. Mixed "system" here. I keep everything in original packing. Blister packs (Rage and Keitech mostly) go in shoebox sized totes. Bagged worms, senkos, grubs, flukes, etc... in a few of the Flambeau Half Satchels. I like the KVD Speedbags for things like NED and Dropshot stuff - my drop shot baits are only for drop shot, NED baits only used to fish NED rigs, etc...I'm also able to segregate technique specific jig heads, hooks, weights, leader into those bags so its a grab and go deal for the whole application.
  3. Have a couple silver and hot mustard in the box.
  4. You could make the daily bag 100 a day under 24" and not see a change... Even (most) folks that are willing to eat pike are not going to mess with cleaning hammer handles - juice just isn't worth the squeeze...unless you are keeping 10 and just writing off the sides, filleting out the back and tail.
  5. Yes. Yes. I love catching them - tournament types generally despise them. Blanket statement BUT if you saw Joe Blow handle bass how I've witnessed many Bass fisherman handle pike you likely wouldn't be very impressed...
  6. We've all been there - a favorite, maybe lesser known offering or casualty of the new offering gets discontinued. Whole company goes under (or gets bought out by Rapala). Bargain bin blowouts ensue. Your stock runs low (if you stocked up). Replacements are impossible to find or priced to the point you aren't going to use them anymore. What are some of your "wish I still had a pile of X" baits? Couple of mine: Storm Subwarts - particularly Size 05's. Down my last several after getting bit off last Friday. Rapala Long Cast Minnow - sleeper, don't know anyone that has any in the box and few that remember them. They don't do much, they don't look all that special. They are killers in certain situations. Down to 7 of these. Terminator T1s - miss the durability of these in pike country, not so much I think they caught fish any better than others. With Rapala gutting 13 Fishing offerings I laid into a supply of Warthog 60's when TW had them on super sale for like $3.50 at the end of last month.
  7. I'll echo the Owner Flashy Swimmer gang. Gave away my Spin Trix after a few outings using the FS.
  8. Understood - hard sell getting folks to cut up hammer handles.
  9. Give me the choice between catching 5 lb and up northerns or 2 - 3 lb green carp - I'll take the northerns all day. Just not on $10+ spinner baits, lol. Of course harvesting I'm not interested in filleting a northern much under 8 lbs. Give me the smaller green carp in a harvest scenario.
  10. Agreed that quality is worth it - but the above is spoken like someone that doesn't encounter too many northerns. Might not "lose" it but she aint coming back that same, lol.
  11. I will take a dropshot rod with me every time, no exceptions, knowing full well I absolutely will not use it... I will throw a square bill for way to long before switching to something, finding success, and then switching back to a square bill - they'll want it eventually, right?
  12. I don't know - I caught literal tons of fish on nothing but Trilene XL on Quantum Accurists until I "knew better"... Nice gear is nice, nice line is nice - we like to overcomplicate things.
  13. Bass, walleye, etc...guide should be fishing enough to get you on a pattern but keeping you in the prime real estate and putting the rod down once you're on fish steady. Fishing musky where you're lucky to boat a legal fish in a day of fishing I would have a big issue with.
  14. Still in production - but they have been around forever (for a reason), Rapala Shad Raps.
