  1. The only time the radio comes on is to listen to music when we're swimming/floating, or when the Royals are playing.
  2. Amazing that so many people have problems with it, I've got nothing bad to say about it. I only use it for the ned rig and always with a floro leader. The leader helps with some of the breakage issues I imagine, because we fish some lakes with a lot of zebra mussels and I haven't had it break more than a couple times. I use a modified albright knot and it's very solid with the nanofil.
  3. Yes!! I marinate them in some kind of Asian marinate, then grill over a hot charcoal fire to medium rare. Delicious!!!
  4. Anymore you pretty much have to drive that far to get a good bird hunt it seems like, or be lucky enough to have access private ground close to home....which I do not.
  5. Sissy.... and lots of little birds I might add, from the reports I've heard for that area. Several coveys per spot has happened before out there for us.
  6. If I didn't have to work I'd be duck or quail hunting, just saying.
  7. This^^^^^ I had the seat come loose on 2 different rage rods, they exchanged both.
  8. We've had a fish/ski for almost 20 years now, you've seen it. My biggest like is the windshield, keeps you warmer on those cold days running across the lake. Also keeps the spray off of you, which goes back to keeping you warm. The front deck on ours is a little small but that is also because it has a cutout, which I could easily modify if I felt like it. Because of the smaller deck I've gotten used to using a butt seat just for a little extra stability. Ours has two livewells which has come in handy when spring crappie fishing, but other than that we use the front livewell for "soda" cans. The rod/ski box is plenty big in ours and I can fit a good amount of rods in it. We only use it for skis now but whenever we take our vacation I'll load it with all my rods for the drive down. The back deck on ours is fairly good size. One problem with the windshield is that it's very difficult for a 3rd person to fish from the bottom deck, but if you get a boat with a windshield that doesn't extend too far back that wouldn't be too much of an issue. Skeeter is one fish/ski that comes to mind with a shorter windshield. The ride on ours is outstanding, cuts through waves very nicely and is very smooth. Gets on plane very quickly and we can get almost 50 mph with the 175 hp (original owner upgraded from 150 to 175). Not sure how the newer boats are, but ours has several nice storage hatches front and back.
  9. Them's fighin words Chris......just sayin.
  10. That so cute that you have to buy a license every year.....
  11. The 7' Medium/Fast Extreme would be a decent all around rod.
  12. Seems just like OAF, which is pretty easy to navigate. I like it.
  13. Take me!!! I may have a place outside of Gardner for us to hit that day we're planning on going. I have permission to duck hunt it and I know of at least one covey, just need to talk to the owner about it.

They did this in KS a few years ago and made it legal to deer hunt with any centerfire rifle, including .223 and 22-250. Not that I would ever use my 22-250 for deer, but it could do it.

  18. LEO, I have the unfortunate pleasure of working with him.
  19. Berkley twitchtail minnows work well or a 3" power minnow.
  20. Just because the fish are suspended that high doesn't mean your weight has to be on the bottom. We catch fish at TR in the summer with nothing more than 18" of leader. You basically pitch the rig out and let it swing back to the boat.
  21. In 9MM I would check out the Glock 34.
  22. Clayton showed me the picture of that one the other day!!!!!!
  23. I'm sure I could arrange access to the ground we hunted.
  24. I hear you Coty, but it was pretty good out west this weekend. This is 62 of the 77 we shot opening day, a couple trucks were still out when I took this picture so we didn't have all the birds yet. We shot another 23 Sunday morning despite the wind and poor shooting. We saw some BIG coveys of quail too. I was impressed with the quail population considering we only hunted 3 spots the whole weekend and we saw 4 huge coveys.
