  1. Foo fighters was the best, awesome energy. They brought it for three hours on a make up gig that they had cancelled cause of grohl getting sick. Next would be chevelle at a local small venue. That was also great. I saw skillet last year and while not a huge fan they had an awesome show.
  2. Pretty sure u just asked for confirmation that was the best dream team ever and then tried to validate Jordan not being the best player by saying he played in a down time? Did I miss something?
  3. The new white bionic combo was marked at 70 bucks or so. Don't remember exactly but it was about half off.
  4. I seen a flyer today. My dad got his in the mail. Looked through it. Mostly 10-20 percent off here and there. The johhny Morris sig rods were marked down thirty bucks, and then if u used the rod trade in it came out to 89 bucks. Nothing else really jumped out at me. Cabelas also sent out a flyer and they ad some similar sales.
  5. How about a French fry? Anybody still fish with those? Rember fishing those a lot growing up.
  6. Anybody compared these? My dad just got the flyer for the spring classic sale. The carbonlites look to be ten bucks off while the sig is 30 bucks off making the micro carbonlite and the sig both 109. With a rod trade in they are 89? I have a carbonlite and absolutely love it. I was planning on getting another one but the sig has me curious now. My dad has an old one from the nineties that has served him well and he still uses it.
  7. Look around the store too. In mine they had a whole clearance section setup in the garden center on the opposite end of the store from the fishing aisle. Then I had to wade through all of the clearance stuff to find the few boxes of fishing stuff.
  8. Two things, first I don't like ewg hooks because I have personally tested them and the hook up ratio is not as high. Everyone else's will have a different opnion. One thing u can do to ewg hooks is bend the point out just a little where its not in line with the eye of the hook. That will help a lot. The other thing is when u feel a tap reel down and make sure the fish has ahold and there is weight. A soft tip will help with this. In my experience when the water is still cold the fish are sluggish and often just kinda slap at a bait, waiting until there is weight will make sure he has a firm grasp. Don't wait to long though or u will gut hook the fish.
  9. Used the drop shot hooks and like them.
  10. Check all of your local walmarts, I have four within driving distance two had great deals but the other two barely had any clearance sales. I got $70 worth of stuff for 25 bucks
  11. If the rod is ONLY for pitching into weeds than go straight braid, otherwise straight flouro would be my answer.
  12. A trig baby brush hog for me with a jig not far behind.
  13. That was I question I had is that u can infact buy stuff at the expo? Meaning its not just a show but u can purchase gear.
  14. Man there's a lot of dobyns!!! Since I got it my kistler magnesium 6'9" mh/f with a gold carbonlite and 16 lb sunline sniper. Before that, my one that I always brought was a carbonlite rod with said reel. I know it is ny a hundred dollar rod but man I love it. Have caught a ton of fish on it in only a year and half including my three best.
  15. I currently use a 6'6" m mojo that works fine. They are a little heavier than their actually rating IMO. If I was to replace it I would defiantly get a 6'3" rod, probably the vendetta 2.
  16. Haha yeah I was being a little vague but those are the exact colors I use with black shore being my favorite

I kept going for another four days after they started...that's why I could barely stand. It wasn't just a sore feeling. It was a feeling like somebody took a baseball bat and hit me across the shins lol. I have always played sports and lifted weights but that was the worst pain from working out EVER. Also I started it up again a month later but fell off the wagon.
  18. Black, clear, or shad color.
  19. Get the carbonlite. I own veritas and a carbonlite, the carbonlite fishes way out of its price range IMO.
  20. I may get raked over the coals but I would buy a cheaper rod for topwater as long as it will load and throw small lures well. Topwater is reaction more or less. Also I personally use a shorter rod and I remember u saying in posts before that u like long rods. I like 6'3 or 6'6' I feel I can work the baits better. So having said all that look at the vendetta 2 in 6'3" m/f, or if u must spend more money than go with the fenwick mentioned above in 6'3".

I started insanity and it was great. Had to stop about half way through though because of shin splints. Could barely stand up. Lol
  22. I have a local lake that I have caught very few bass on a jig and I fish a jig a lot. Have caught a few swimming it though.
  23. I have a magnesium and its great. Seems like recently there is a love/hate relationship with them. Most of it seems undeserving IMO and does not reflect on the quality of the rods they build. Look around on their website and there is an article by Troy kistler that explains his whole business endeavor and why a bunch of people seem to rag on them. Again great rod and wouldn't hesitate t buy another.
  24. That video has been out for awhile buts its still great.
