  1. There's ducks here but I don't think quit the numbers of Stuttgart. I live in the northwest corner in the ozarks. No fields just mountains.
  2. Haha I live in Arkansas and have never been to Stuttgart, I need to make a trip there sometime.
  3. I assume its one rod or reel per purchase? Meaning if a traded two rods would i get twenty bucks off a new rod if the discount was 10 per rod?
  4. Yeah I realize they are not actually part of the company but they have built reels for bps for a long time and I read somewhere that they were building the new lews. I could be mistaken, but the internals of all my bps reels my lews and abu are almost identical except for the drag design. I also know they are not exactly the same as far as materials being built. Was just saying they are of the same pedigree.
  5. I always throw a tiny brush hog Texas rigged. Have had to many 100-150 fish days on that to count... Granted most are 8-12 inches. I always use an ultralight rig too.
  6. They are all made by the same company wich is why the design is so similar. I think the frame is a little smaller compard to the pq and believe it is more in line with the lews. I have a tournament pro and they feel really close in size. The internals look very VERY similar as they do with most all pure fishing products.
  7. Wow thanks for the heads up. I ordered two. I have one already and love it. I was planning on buying one of the carbonlite combos with the gold reel around the spring sale.
  8. Went once so far and killed 5.....
  9. X2 I bought a new bag last spring as my old one was wore out. Had all kinds of extra room.......no it's bulging at the seams lol
  10. hahah that was the first thing I thought when I read it
  11. That's what I do, play guitar though I do play a lot more than just the winter time. Also when it gets this cold I start doing a lot more hunting.
  12. That rod will handle most cranks except for heavy deep divers. I have one in similar specs and use it for almost all my cranking.
  13. If your going to bass pro carbonlite would be my first pick, behind that would be the veritas. I haven't fished with the bucco but it feels like a very like nice rod too.
  14. Had a Christmas with my wife's grandma tonight and she got me a worm binder from academy and some reel oil.
  15. +1 I own several reels in that price range and the tournament speed spool is by far the smoothest.
  16. Well I'm getting a kistler magnesium 6'9" mh....... I know cause i ordered it lol. Also getting a bunch of crankbaits.
  17. 1. Pliers 2. Scissors Those are my necessitys, every thing else I just like to have 3. Glasses 4. Towel to dry my hands after all the fish I catch 5. Light 6. Kvd line conditioner 7.hat 8. My phone for pictures 9.water 10. Something to eat
  18. I have always tied a palomar and when I started using flouro I tried different knots because everyone said a palamor wouldnt work. Well after many break offs I switched back to the palamor and no breaks....go figure. BUT and this is huge but In my opinion I flip the loop after u pass the bait through it, so it will pull down on top of the knot
  19. 1. Texas rigged baby brush hog 2. Finesse/spider jig with tiny paca craw as trailer 3. Senko 4. Crankbait 1. 7'mh 15 flouro baitcaster 2. 6'6" m 12 flouro baitcaster
  20. Haha a lot of people's weakness seems o be fishing slow, mine is the opposite. Fishing fast. I cant seem to just turn the trolling motor on high and take off down the bank. Just doesn't work for me. I can do ok at a medium pace just nor running and gunning like kvd would do. Before this fall I would have said cranks but I dedicated a lot of this fall to cranks and have gained a ton of confidence in them. Bang them off something and hang on.
  21. I have a lot of zoom in my tackle bag but I'm not by any means loyal to them
  22. Do a google search of veritas breaking. It was a VERY common complaint. I believe it was mainly with the first couple of batches. There are pages and pages discussing it. Where theres smoke theres fire. Then do the same for the carbonlite. There's just not that many talking about breaking. There are some, but that is not the common problem with them. Most complaints are with the eye guides and the placement of the hook keeper. I own both and have not had a lick of trouble out of either. I have landed a 7.5 on carbonlite and several 5+ on the veritas. If one breaks I will probably just replace it with the same thing.....
  23. I would go with the stx, just fits me better....
  24. I have kept up with the carbonlite and have heard very few breakage issues. The veritas on the other hand has had a lot of breaking issues. The biggest issue with the carbonlite is guide eyes falling out though I think they may have gotten that fixed now. Also think they have gotten a little bit of the handle on the veritas breaking, haven't heard as many recent reports n the issue. Mine has been great. Have landed several 5+ with no issues
