  2. thanks guys, i may be at glenn springs sunday also. ill be on the 17 foot aluminium jon boat decked front and back with a nissian 40 on it. i drive a white f250.as far as grove i may have just been in the wrong areas it seems. thx again
  3. i have only fished here maybe 3/4 times. i have never caught any bass besides small dinks. i know there are big fish here. any advice as far as what lure works good here, time of day or location on the water where they are? thanks in advance,
  4. buy more since they are working lol
  5. color may help in certain situations, but other times when the fish are just on ive thrown dif. colors just experimenting and they bit on all the colors i threw.
  6. i had a slow start due to colder weather also. but in the last mo. alone ive had 2 6lbs 5/6 5lbs and several 3-4 lbs. just stick to what you have the most confidence in . for me thats stik worms rigged wacky weightless and t rigged with 1/4 weight . or a chatterbait .
  7. looks interesting enough wo knowing your exact reasons for making it that i would try it. all the above mentioned theories make sense.
  8. i use a 4/0 ewg when tx rigging them. the worm can come off or push up the line for many reasons. fish shaking, hook set etc.
  9. senko or senko style worms. end of story, its all i use worm wise no matter the rig im using.
  10. i have some also, the hook is just small so no room for error, i reel down the slack watch my line and pull the opposite way the fish is going. but in all honesty i use my 4/0 circle/finesse hooks 99% of the time.
  11. texas rig watermelon senko style worm or weightless wacky in watermelon . also use junebug, black-blue and bubble gum colors.
  12. i make my own jika rigs, they work well . i use them more in weeds and such. but it keeps the lure vertical and about a in. of the bottom to give it a more natural look. i mainly use it with craws or the space monkey
  13. i use 20# invisibraid(spider wire) with no problem with worms and creature baits with good success. i do not pull off any extra line just cast out thet it sink then pop and drag back to me with about a 10 sec pause between ea. pop. for texas rig with a 1/4 oz slider weight. or i wacky it weightless and just pull the rod up and let it fall real the slack all the way back to me.
  14. z man, in white with a summer craw chunk or fluke trailer. caught my 10lb on that set up.
  15. glad u like snakeheads, because they will destroy every other fish in that water lol
  16. the farthest ones from walnut grove are free, the 3 i believe closest to walnut grove are owned by the paid fishing place.
  17. the one on the property of the catfish lake , yes. the two behind it off the property no, but u have to ride through a feild to get to those.
  18. heck yea, ill def go back when im not on the boat. get that knee healed up.
  19. there are two other lakes behind it also off their property u have to cut through a feld tho lol this one i just parked on the catfish pond parking lot.
